The playoffs so far have been great. The Sharks have been my pick, but Dallas is making it tough. Coming back from 3-0 might be too much.
Franzen has been unbelieveable for the Wings. As if they didn’t get enough from the rest of the team.
Three of the four series in round two going 3-0 was interesting. It’s good that only Detroit could finish the sweep. I like it to go on a little more. And the teams down 3-0 or 3-1 play even harder.
The Penguins look really good. So many young stars. Which line do you pick to put your best defenseman against?
I like that Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are both in it. The battle of Pennsylvania. That would be quite the Eastern finals matchup.
GO WINGS!! I didn’t see the game last night (no Versus) but it’s nice to see them take care of business. I didn’t think the Avs would really give us too much trouble even when healthy so with all those injuries they were Dead Team Skating. As hot as Dallas and Pittsburgh has looked, the Wings look just as good.
Montreal is pretty tough but they’ve seriously been outplayed in EVERY game this round. That series would be over if they didn’t get that ridiculous 6 on 4 goal in Game 1.
I’m hoping San Jose gives Dallas a fight and lets the Wings rest a bit. I am VERY pleased that the way things are going, we won’t have to play either San Jose OR Anaheim but Dallas is looked so good, I wonder if I may pay for that line of thinking. Seriously, the Wings should have better D and offense against them…it’s nice of Dallas to finally look human and lose a game in game 4.
I’m not surprised at ALL that the Rangers won game 4 and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it a series…they’ve been playing REAL tough for all four games and I was surprised that they couldn’t get a single win out of the first four. Pitt looks good but I wonder if Fluery can keep that pace up.

i am friggin pumped for tonight’s game. i love that we’re the under dogs. i hate that the wings are on cruise control. i know we still have to get through the pens, which is no small task, but i’m still scarred from the 97 finals…
Yeah, I don’t want to get all arrogant but it’s frightening how solid the Wings are playing right now. They’ve always been great at defense but the fact that they’re getting legit production from the 2nd and 3rd lines has just sent them up in the stratosphere. I can’t imagine that they’ll cruise through Dallas since they’re a solid team but that Game 1 was pretty nice.
I’ll admit I was pretty shocked at how the Flyers just demolished the Habs in those five games…it should have been a sweep if not for that 6 on 4 in game 1. Pittsburgh is good but I wonder about the defense and goaltending. Should be a neat series.
