NHL

The…uh…Montreal Maroons? I don’t know. That was the only old team I could think of.
Marley, I’m going to have to voice my displeasure with your love of the Wings. Being a Blackhawks fan demands that I dislike any and all teams from the Norris Division.

You were so close Eli, so very very close. It was the Montreal Athletics.

Yes, the old Norris Division, teh good ol days… I remember them well. Remember the home at home series with Chicago and Detroit? The battle of I-94. Fun times.

Too bad 'bout your Hawks this year. I suggest you go with a proven winner. C’mon Eli, throw the Octopus!

i remember when there were the cambell and wales conferences…i guess that wasn’t that long ago.

broad street bullies all the way!

HEY HEY HOCKEYTOWN!!!

Well, I’m hailing from Hockeytown so you KNOW I’m a fan of hockey. I’ll admit that the strike didn’t help keep me as a fan as I’ve watched a lil more b-ball than hockey these days but I still love the Wings.

I’m also amazed to see a few people who claim to follow the Blackhawks around here. I didn’t know that there was anyone in Chicago who even knew that the Hawks still existed. Nice to see a few who hadn’t leapt off the bandwagon like the rest of that city.

Anyway, Lessee…Pistons?..Leading the NBA. Wings?..Leading the NHL. Yeah, just call Detroit the master of winter sports. Here’s to BOTH bringing it home this year. We’ll take the NBA and NHL Titles and fuck football and baseball…you can have those back.

Stevo

Oh yeah, Leo and Steve-o know what’s what. Wings all the way.

I like the Avalanche, but I also like Detroit alot too.

OK, the season ended today. All the first round matchups are set. It looks pretty good.

Eastern (Wales):
Ottawa - Tampa Bay
Carolina - Montreal
New Jersey - NY Rangers
Buffalo - Philadelphia

Western (Campbell):
Detroit - Edmonton
Dallas - Colorado
Calgary - Anaheim
Nashville - San Jose

I’m not picking any teams. (Maybe just Dallas for the Cup.) I just hope for some good series. And no picking Detroit. (Marley, this means YOU.) Detroit is just too good. 124 points? Holy shit. It’s not necessary to hog all the wins…let the Blackhawks have some.

The WIngs won the Presidents Cup and soon, the Stanley Cup. The quest for the Grail starts Friday…

is too lazy to make a picture of a chris kattan hockey team
just think about it. you’ll laugh.

^i’ll admit…i laughed a little

this just in from my dad:

Between the 2nd and 3rd periods of the Flyers/Islander game last night 1-0 Ilses at that time, Hitchcock walks in to the locker room and writes Ottowa 2-0 over Rangers, Montreal 2-0 over Devils, and walks out. Flyers said it was his best between period speech of the season. In any case they came out stoked, took a 2-1 lead and got 2 empty netters late to win 4-1.

Rangers went on to lose, but the Devils got 3 unanswered in the 3rd to beat Montreal and take the division. First time all season the Devils came back from a 3 goal deficit and the first time Montreal coughed one up.

Might be a blessing. If the Flyers had won the division, they would have opened against the Devils at home. Now they’re on the road v Buffalo, the second hottest team in the NHL; Devils are the hottest. Last Sabre loss was 8 games ago, in Buffalo against…the Flyers. We’ll see

man, i love nhl playoffs…let’s get it on, buffalo!

does Satan still play for the Sabres??? hahaha

^ Satan? Grabs? j/k…

Yeah, Satan still plays for Buffalo.

HEY HEY HOCKEY TOWN!!!

Let’s get it on Edmonton!!!

^do their shirts say CRUNK? jk, but what a cool picture…eh? (canadian comment)

check out that dude in the crowd just left of his right sleeve…pure bliss

Excellent Leo…

do they still have the highlighted puck during televised games? was that just a FOX thing? playoffs? eh?

that’s just a Fox thing. I think the only TV coverage this year is going to be on OLN. I’m going to have to go to a sports book here in town to catch all the games.

^that’s borderline criminal!

i can’t believe that…that means there’s probably less than no chance i’ll get to watch any of it…actually maybe if i bought NASN…may have to look into that…

NBC is picking up a lot of games, so you should be ble to see some of them. I think they are deffinately going to have the Cp series on NBC
