I am planning on this 100%, hopefully I can* get tickets…
this
My wife’s dad’s family lives in Chicago. Really hoping to get tickets to this one.
Here’s some info regarding potential plans to expand the concert area at Northerly, though I don’t know if this would be in time for the Phish shows. Especially as tickets go on sale this week and the expansion hasn’t even been approved yet.
^^about the expansion, I watched the news last night, and the way they made it sound, if the plan is approved on this Thursday, they made it sound like the expansion would be in place for this summer. It sounds like it would still be the temporary stage set up, and possibly just shifted to accomodate the increased compacity.
I’ll try to find any video from last night, and hopefully share it. Boy, I hope this happens. This is such a pristine place for a venue, they need to do it up as good as possible. The complete expansion plan looks like the beeez-neeez, and I hope it actually comes to fruition! ![]()
Also thought I would link this. Looks pretty promising!

I’ll be there!
This capacity thing is interesting, I get a scary feeling there could be a huge mass of ticketless fans at these shows if they don’t expand it to 15,000 or more…only shows in the midwest, three day run (not sure whether to think this is a sign for a harder ticket or not), mecca of the midwest…got a feeling this place could take on a scene similar to Lakewood last Summer, and hell that show was bookended by shows in different states
not to mention there’s a nice gap between the NE shows and these, so one would assume a bunch of the NE fans will be making the trip as well…I guess with it being pretty out of the way of tour it might not bring in as many, but I’m guessing most people would rather skip alpharetta and go to Chitown before skipping Chitown
who knows, but seeing as how they’ve been filling up Alpine pretty good with DC usually on one end or the other, I can’t imagine this will be a very positive scene for the fans unless it is opened up to 20,000 (which some are saying will make it impossible to see the stage unless you’re up close)
Levi, whats up, brah? I hope you make it up for these.
I wonder how that vote turned out today, but not too much, seeing how the mayors brother is associated with LN. That’s kinda how Crook County works
My pulse is rising thinking about this run, and it four months away!!
^Dude, I hope to be there too…would love to rage another show with ya, had such a good time in Cincy last year
never been to Chitown
bout to put into the lotto for these shows, first time since the 4th in Alpharetta

This bitch is gonna be 30k according to an article yemblog just posted
Wish they would’ve announced this an hour before I put in for lotto instead of an hour after
Probably could be doing this run for 80 instead of 150, oh well, maybe they won’t release many for lotto
Still not sure how this is going to be. The land there is flat, and from what I’ve been reading, the lawn is going to be a “Ravinia-Style” lawn seating.
If that’s the case, then it might actually suck for Phish. With Ravinia, you can’t see the stage from the lawn. I’ve never been, but from I gather, you can’t see shit, but the sound is really good. So, if that’s the case, then it might not be all it’s cracked up to be.
On the other hand, it might be a case where they set it up like Toyota Park. With the temp bleachers set up along the sides, and GA lawn in the middle. I guess that wouldn’t be too bad.
Kind-of excited to see how this goes.
I put in for “best available” in the lotto, so as long as I get tickets, I don’t care where I end up. I like the idea of being able to relax months before the show knowing that I already secured tickets, and just have to drive down (or take the train), and enjoy.
The fact that it’s now going to hold 30k definately eases my anxiety about getting tix! ![]()
