I know there are some rumblings of west coast or Miami. What are ya’ll hearing?!
Basically heard Miami, California (either 2x SF 2x LA or 4x LA), or Vegas.
Would love it to be in CA or Vegas, but not holding my breath.
i dunno! that California rumor has some heat and we were goofin off thinking how in Vegas they could do a run that included MGM Grand, Thomas and Mack and then finish big at the new T-mobile
Friend of a friend works at LiveNation/Ticket Bastard and says that no LN/TM venue is having convos with the band about NYE. As opposed to next summer, where a handful of venues are in talks with the band.
That suggests NYE run isn’t at a LN/TM venue. Which means…Vegas!
holy shit yoni this is some deep intel… what about AXS tho? i don’t have a good sense of what big venues they book tho that could do Phish NYE
so if Vegas where? weeks ago we came across a seemingly crazy rumor of a Hard Rock run but omg that would be a smallll venue

MSGNYE definitely seemed to be the prevailing opinion at the Garden. We’ve been surprised before…but yeah Miami or MSG seems more than a strong bet.
I hate to be this guy, but I don’t think they will do NYE on the west coast. Perhaps a mini run leading up to it, but not on NYE.
Phish is a business, and a pretty smart one too. They probably wouldn’t do a NYE show on in the Pacific Time Zone. Those webcasts are a revenue stream, and they maximize their profits by playing shows on the east coast, because the rest of the country can stream them. Midnight in Cali is 3 am for every state east of Illinois. The people they would want to sell a marquee stream to will be sleeping, drunk, or hooking up with a rando who’s New Years resolution is to be “more adventurous.”
Miami makes the most sense (especially since they tour with their families), but NYEMSG seems kind of likely. Man would that piss off the jaded non-east coast Phanners . Wild cards: Hampton, Atlantic City, and Boston.
Yeah, trying to stay up for the Halloween stream is hard enough (couldn’t make it this past fall). I agree 100% though. I hope its Miami for a few reasons. South Beach in December sounds awesome, and I’ve never been that far south in FL. Tickets will be cheaper. And everything about traveling to another city will be cheaper. But I’m pretty much all in for whatever they do. Although I’m sure you could go back and find other posts of me saying the same thing about NYE runs in the past, but I really wanna make it happen after only seeing one Phish show this year.
How about this:
4 Nights @ BGCA and they call it “A Fistful of Donuts.”
3 nights @ The Forum and they call it “A Few Donuts More.”

Per the Phish facebook feed, they will be making their “long awaited return” to MSG for NYE this year.
I’m going to put in for tickets and let the Phish Lotto Gods decide my fate.
Not thrilled at the prospect of paying for lodging in NYC at New Years, but the prospect of Phish…
I briefly considered doing one of the multi night tickets + hotel packages last year, but it was too expensive coupled with the airfare. But hey, free tshirt or something. After watching pet shaped balloons rain down for what seemed like an hour on that Petrichor/Auld Lang Syne video, I felt like it may have been worth it.
Not happening for me. Couch tour tickets lined up.
with a reliable group of friends it can really be worth it. 2 people get tickets right off and if you can get 2 more and split 4 ways you can phish your face off and stumble across the street to home base for whatever 
its not cheap lodging by any means but it has its plusses for doing msg
