shit just posted this in Gen. Disc Board…guess this was more appropriate
I’m guessing this more of a hold deal as far as the next 4 years goes, keeping bands from being able to to book it too far in advanced but allowing Phish to opt out for Miami or whatever if they want…but if they haven’t opted out for 2012 by now as it seems they haven’t, I’d bet that’s where they’ll be for this year’s end, there’s tons of material for GH fun with the end of 2012 and all
someone on another board considered this to be the third year too, I don’t understand that cause we’re basing it off Jim’s statement which did not come out three years ago, the next 4 years would be 4 years from NOW…so it would be 2012-2016, which is why I just assume it’s some sort of hold on da venue
^right on, who knows, it sounds like the MMJ guy was being a little hyperbolic, I just know I’m gonna start saving my monies after summer terr for NYE in NYC…I’m guessing there won’t be a Fall Tour, and if there is I would probably only be able to make one or two of a two nighter anyways so I’ll just wait for that four night run at the Garden
Cmon man, you gotta recognize the history and tradition there. Phish always takes standalone msg runs after no fall terrr and practices a lot to make them unique and memorable
I started calling about some hotels and almost every one I called wants at least NYE non-refundable…weak. It falls on a Monday this year, so I am guessing the run to be Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon. That’s nice cause I only burn one vaca day.
I guess I can handle another trip back to MSG for NYE–I was kinda getting my hopes up for Miami, but I pretty much knew it was MSG with all the chatter last year about it being a four year contract.
IF any New Yorkers have hotel suggestions, let me know!
He’s in My Morning Jacket…check da link if you want to know where this is coming for
on another note, the winkey face on here has to be one of the strongest symbols of all time…it can either mean, “it’s all good cause I’m too nice to be mean even though I want to try it” or “Fuck you”…quite a tricky one there
