Just walked across the street to get some morning snacks, and I heard “Ocelot” being played! In a SHELL station! WTF?
I remember hearing BDTNL on the radio quite a bit last year, so I’m wondering if Ocelot will make its way on the airwaves soon.
I rarely listen to ‘regular’ radio anymore, so I am not sure if they have played anything locally…
Even on “regular” radio, they don’t get played much. Maybe on the “underground” stations that play the lesser-known stuff you might hear them but it’s rare.

Heard BDTNL last nite in Barnes and Noble, finally! I very rarely hear Phish tunes in public places, besides me playing them at work and getting a lot of reactions from customers. haha
I heard BDTNL at a McCallister’s when visiting Miss. State last year, I thought for sure it was a sign or something…good thing I didn’t let that effect my choice too much haha
The best public phish hearing for me was the day they announced their reunion. I went to the local pizza shop and sanity was playing. Thatss right, sanity. I found out the cook was a huge head playing his own cds, not the radio. Still cool though.
For anyone in the chicago area, if you listen to ESPN radio 1000, the “Afternoon Saloon”, a lot of times, as a lead in, they play Phish. I have heard Tweezer, Stash, DWD, BDTNL, and some other ones. Obviously there is a Head working for the show.
I heard Trey’s shine in JC Penny one time, as well as something else off the Shine album.
And once Joy came out, XRT was playing almost every song off the album for the first couple of weeks.
Heard Ocelot in a bar about a month ago. Random bar out in the sticks. Strange.
I’ve hear Tuesday on the radio… I was thrown off by that one.
“Heavy Things” is a regular with Carm, Jurko and Harry…love the Saloon!
