The Delta Center might be as bad as Corrup I mean Rupp Arena as far as the amount of calls that go the home teams way…The only time I don’t remember favorable calls for Utah was when they were playing the Bulls…Go figure
1996 Bulls! 41-1 at home!
Couldn’t go the distance.
Slackers.
It was actually game 42 that they lost. And it was to your Pacemakers as well.
Reggie-time!
That was retarded, I should have said “Miller-time!”

Boy, the Cs weren’t messing around yesterday. What a statement game! If Atlanta took them 7, Cleveland has a chance because they’ve got a better supporting cast surrounding Bron-Bron. The Cs struggled at times to contain Joe Johnson, and The Chosen One is infinitely better than Johnson.
Cleveland needs to steal a game in Boston to have a chance.
I just have to say THANK YOU to a Washington D.C. Papa Johns Pizza place.
They came out with #23 “Crybaby” jerseys, and were shown on TV.
So I guess enough people complained, and every Papa Johns in North-Eastern Ohio is selling large pizzas for $0.23 on Thursday.
Woohoo!!

I think the Spurs, despite being down 2-0, will win the series in 7 games.
You heard it here first, folks.
DEEEEEEEEETROIT BASKETBALL!!
Great game last night.
The Palace was alive!
Yeah on a bogus call at the end of the 3rd quarter that shifted Uncle Mo!
GO PISTONS!!!
After a backwards game of reffing, i don’t mind that at all.
Dwight Howard should have been kicked out and suspended for at least a game for throwing Rip on the floor, HARD. Of course, they didn’t show it on TNT (pussies) and Rip got up, came down the floor, and knocked out a three to pump up the Palace.
GO PISTONS!!!
I do normally root for the underdog. So in that regard I’d like to see the Maqic win.
However, as a basketball fan and purist, I think the best series in the EC we could hope for would be Celtics vs. Pistons. I wanna see some old-school brawling ala Bird/McHale/Parrish vs. Bad Boys!
So then, in that respect, you would be rooting for the Pistons in the EC Finals?!?!?
Those 2 teams are so evenly matched that I wouldn’t classify the Pistons as underdogs…
…even though the C’s had more wins.
It’s strange; if the Pistons win their series it’ll be SIX STRAIGHT conference finals they’ve been in. That’s amazing if you think about it.
yes, yes it is!
And if anyone refers to us as the Atlanta Braves I’ll give them a kick to the gums.

does Ron Jeremy have to choke a bitch?
Awww…come on, BigB. It’s bad enough that you have to abuse your admin powers, but you don’t have delete my ENTIRE frickin post! Just add something to the end of it or something. These things don’t type themselves, you know. Be careful on deleting folks’ posts, though…there are some folks who flip out over that stuff.
Anyway, definitely a bad call at the 3rd quarter of the Stones game, but to me it’s more a case of the NBA rules which didn’t allow them to review it. If the rule allowed it, they would have set a stopwatch and could have easily said it wasn’t a three.
Either way, that’s not what lost them the game anyway…maybe if Rashard Lewis didn’t throw the ball into the stands every time he attempted a pass, they may have done better. Still, that 3rd quarter with the 7-7 threes was a great example of when i said that the Magic will catch fire and there will be nothing the Stones can do about it. Unfortunately for the Magic, the 3rd quarter was one of those nights and they still lost.
It all comes down to them still not having anyone who can stop Chauncey Billups. And seriously…how did Van Gundy get fifty wins out of that set of undersized and underachieving guards? Nelson? Arroyo? Dooling? Mo Evans? (couldn’t even get minutes on the Pistons BENCH last year). Dear lord, make STAN the coach of the year.
Overall, the refs stunk the whole game and not just on the clock issue. They abused McDyess and some fools, they called the most ticky-tack garbage on any big man who dared to rub another guy and poor Jameer Nelson was just abused by those refs. Just a poor job by a normally good ref in Steve Javie.
And, wow, the Spurs look OLD…I’m not surprised at West and Paul but moreso on the other dudes like Pargo, Julian Wright and MO PETE! just doing what they want. For once, the Spurs defense is having a LOT of trouble getting stops when they need to…it’s impressive. We’ll see how things go in San Antonio though…I probably won’t be able to count on the Spurs until I see them out and eliminated.
Cavs/Boston - I can’t possibly cheer Boston but I’m not sure if I can cheer the Cavs either since that whiny LeBron annoys me (kudos to Haywood’s comments about Jordan not whining and those Crybaby 23 shirts…those were awesome). I’d love to see Boston go down but if the Cavs could actually do it, I’d be deathly of afraid of what they do to the Pistons (shudder).
Also, that Hawks/Boston series kind of showed the ultimate weakness of Boston…Doc Rivers…I said it months ago but that dude’s horrendous coaching and substitutions is going to kill that team. At least two of those three losses were due to there being obvious coaching moves that Doc COULD have made but just didn’t. I’ve never seeing a STUPIDER team that the Celts in Game 6. Oh yeah…and the fact that Garnett disappears for the final five minutes of every close game hurts too. And as much as Garnett doesn’t shoot in the clutch, Ray Allen DOES shoot…and misses. Ouch.
