Commie, commie, trader to our country!
I just read where Michael Phelps consumes anywhere from 8,000 to 10,000 calories each day.
I know he is a world-class athlete and needs to fuel his training & competitions, but MY GOD THAT IS A SHIT LOAD OF CALORIES.
Good to know.
It is not our fault we have the most medals, gosh!
I was mostly joking…
And I have seen plenty of coverage of non-US activities.
It may be from the fact I barely watch the “Channel 3 NBC” station… still loving these extra HD jobs.
Good to know.
Canada still hanging tough with…zero. I swear, we’ll get a rowing one, and that will probably be that. Our swimmers usually do okay as well. Other than that, only two more years until the Winter Olympics.
I watched them young athletes swinging and jumpin round that gym last night. The USA boys were happy with their bronze but if anybody but one of them could do that pommel horse they’d probably taken the silver. Stupid pommel horse.
^whoa! as soon as I saw your name posting here it immediately hit me how long you’ve been away man!
cripes! what gives?
welcome back
the opening ceremonies were really cool, despite some of it being digitally altered as I read in that article. that come from behind gold medal win in the swimming relay was awesome!
Uncle Bearhead I was just trying to portray myself as the ignorant American. Only kidding. I like to see everyone. We’ll take the medal count by the way. China might win the most gold, but the US Americans will take the most medals. Why you ask? Cause Track and Field hasn’t started yet. When are team full of HGH induced track performers get out there we’ll dominate.
I wish they’d just do one where all drugs were legal. Would show horses on acid fall into that category? I hope so.
does China usually win so many gold medals, or is it a home field advantage kind of thing?
There normally top 3 in the Summer Games…They literally hand select athletes in grade school and that’s all they do…Eat, sleep, and drink whatever sport they are engaged in. That’s there job and life. Communism at work.
ah, I see. We were just watching the gymnastics, and they were talking about that. They were also talking about how you have to be 16 years old to compete, and some of the Chinese women?(girls) looked very questionable to be that age. But the Americans looked young too. They all look like they’re 4 1/2 feet tall to me.
I tell you another thing that bothers me. They focus on the superstars like Phelps too much. Now if it were a singles event, that’s fine, give him the spotlight. But in the relay team events, they interview the guys and the lesser known guys get to say like 3 words, and then Phelps finishes the interview for the last 3 1/2 minutes talking about all his individual accomplishements. Does he deserve the praise? -certainly he does, but it just comes across like the other guys in the team events are pushed to the backburner and out of the spotlight.
Linford Christie much?
That’s my earliest Olympics memory, watching him win gold in the 1990 Barcelona Olympics.
Man I was just joking and all Uncle Beardhead, but you really want to see China beat the United States don’t ya. What’s up with that?
