i am having a hard time choosing between lb and sf3 2nd sets
it really is tough. the venue was way more kush at sf, but the sound was better in lb. i was with my girlfriend in lb, i was with YOUR girlfriend in sf (its ok, we’re just friends

a first for me but my calves gave out on sunday night. it was after 3 hours and 4 phish shows in a week, but my body gave out and they just kept going.
i think i am going to need a year of distance to decide between these shows. im 37 and i feel like i am a kid at disneyland for the first time again (except for the whole calves giving out thing).
when i do these minis i need to remember im not 19 anymore and sleep more. couldnt eat better than we did in the tenderloin tho, and was plenty hydrated. or it was phish 3.0 melting my face harder than in almost 20 years of seeing them… TWICE in one week
this is a really tough decision, and one i couldnt be happier not being able to choose.

Dicks. If you didn’t go I feel sorry for you. It truely was the best dollars spent on Phish music in the past 4 years. And crushes any run in that time frame.
Dicks '12 was the best run of shows I’ve seen in my life, by anyone. Not that I see a lot of shows, but let’s go for the three peat!
^yeah, Dicks have been constantly coming out of everyone’s mouth. Very popular.

What a year!! Summer should have much in store for us. Hope ya enjoyed my list (hey, at least one of you will actually look through it right? Like we actually read each other’s thoughts right? right?? RIGHT?!?!)

This. I did it very last minute too, and I had one of the best weekends of my life. It was hard to go back to reality and work after that one, but yeah, unreal. The experiences I had outside the shows were worth the trip in and of themselves, but the playing… my god. I really didn’t expect that. Blown away. I will gladly continue to blow all my money on Phish if I can see a run like that once every four years. But really, I think we’ll see even better stuff in the coming years. The boys have still got it, and Dick’s is proof.
That said, MSG was incredible too. Tasty playing, and absolutely amazing times in New York City as well. I will never forget that trip. The place we rented was ridiculous (thanks for the heads up on that great site, Brett), and of course, it’s New York. Everyone was talking about them needing to redeem themselves for 2011 MSG NYE, and while I wasn’t at those shows, I would say with confidence that they did. Really fun run of shows in every way.
DC 2- whole show has got to be my favorite. Total package for a “Matty” show.
