I think I made the playoffs and then some last night. Good thing I got that last minute pick in after missing SF night 3.

The “Regular Season” has officially finished, and we are now moving onto the playoffs. The seeds for the tourney are (1) David, (2) Grateful, (3) Doug, (4) Smokey, (5) Rasta, (6) Phorbin, (7) Golden, & (8) Piper
So this is how it will go down:
(1) David vs. (8) Piper
(2) Grateful vs. (7) Golden
(3) Doug vs. (6) Phorbin
(4) Smokey vs. (5) Rasta
So here are the rules: We will pick 5 songs, rank them from 5-1, with 5 being your most sure pick, and 1 being the long shot. If you get it during the show, you get those points. If its not, you get notta. We will add up the points for each night and the winner moves on to round 2 and so on. If there is a tie, in the first 2 rounds, the higher seeded person moves on due to a higher number of reg season points. I think this is fair since they earned those and shouldn’t be put out due to a guess at song number. In the finals however, the two left standing will PM me their # of songs for the tie breaker in case there is one.
So remember, 5 songs, and rank them with the numbers 1-5 beside them. We have 3 weeks until the shows so take your time. If you can, try to get your picks in within a couple of hours of the show at least. I will try to make a new thread and have each matchup with picks posted for the shows before it starts to make it a little easier on the eyes and easier to follow.
Again, thank you all so much for playing this game. It gives us something to keep up with tour as it goes along and is fun to “host” so thank you. Eventually I will get the “Game Master” tag under my name, but until that point

Haven’t put much thought into this as its late in the day, but new rule idea? No repeats of song selections. So if I pick moma, bag, sand, YEM, and cup for night 1, I can’t select any of those options (if not played) on the next 2 nights. Makes thing a bit harder. Makes sense in my mind right now
I had thought about the pm picks idea and that would work out best if you all wanna keep it hidden until they are all in.
I didn’t really consider the no repeats. If you all want that that’s fine, it will just be very tough on people in the finals minus 10 songs. It could work though for sure so just out your thoughts on it here.
If I get a vote, I’d prefer to allow calling the same song more than once. If the majority prefers to outlaw repeat picks, then I’m ok with that too.
I also want to Thank Phorbin for putting this thing together, and keeping everyone up to date with scores and commentary. Nice work, man. This has been a blast.

My vote is also for being able to use repeats. Please let your voice be heard before this starts 
I kinda think the no repeats thing is a good idea. Kind of makes us dig a little deeper and use a bit more care with our selections.
In fact, if we do this again for fall tour, I’d like to suggest that if someone picks a song for a show that doesn’t get played at that show, that song is off limits for that player until it’s played next. Maybe not that exact rule, but something along those lines. It’s easy to just play the songs that are in most frequent rotation. I think the proudest three points I scored in this whole tour was calling second set Makisupa on 7/16!

^ yeah 5 dogs a night and rank them from 1-5 with 5 being the most confident.
Ill keep everyone up to date on what we are gonna do as far as repeats and if we are gonna PM the picks in.
I like peem idea, but only if the blinds go off once the show starts.

i think repeats will make things a lot tougher, especially bc its a short 3 show run. Also it could avoid possible tie breakers. i really don’t care either way though.
Yeah I think what we will do is PM the 5 songs to me, ill PM them to someone like Will or a person who is out that way we have “proof”. Also the person I’m going against should probably PM the same person I am. Ill ask will if he minds being the middle man for this and get back to you.
Since I will be keeping the picks hidden until right before the show I would really appreciate it if you could send them to me by 5 est the day of. For night 1 I would greatly appreciate getting them about a day in advance if you could.
Also lets do the no repeats. It will help with ties and it really shouldn’t be too hard to pick 15 different songs in 3 days. Plus half of us won’t make it to night 2 as it is
Ill get another thread started for the tourney when I’ve got the picks. Ill have the matchups and songs for each person so you can keep track. Ill update it the morning after for night one bc ill have to work Sat am.
