well, the ole fiance through her hat in the lottery ring, for the first 4 shows, she wants to go for it. Keep in mind she’s the one who secured 2 three day passes via ticketmaster 20 minutes after the tickets went on sale and after I gave up for Hampton. I feel good about this. Let’s go NY baby 2 days minimum.
I’m just curious, are all you who have put in multiple requests using different credit cards and stuff?

I had my ex and my buddy in wyoming put in requests for certain shows for me, but only those 2. I have a feeling a lot of people will be successful requesting for the shows with 15,000+ capacity, and I don’t want to end up with a bunch more tickets than I need.
I used a separate card for DC and AV, so it’s all gravy baby.
To be fair though, the last time I was in Asheville, noone really seemed to give a shit about Phish any more. I’m sure there’s definitely still some, but I’m curious to see how difficult these Asheville tickets actually are to come by.
^I hope you’re right about demand being low. I really want to see Phish at a relatively small-town civic center! twould be epic!
granted people in asheville might not care much about phish anymore (although i highly doubt that is the case. to be honest, i’m skeptical about someone using a blanket statement like that - especially considering it’s a very heady town. UB, how many people did you talk to about this? a good cross-section of the city?) but even if that is true, whatever town phish is playing in, the local crowd is NOT what creates the demand for tickets. it has some weight, but not much, IMO.
if phish is playing in a 7,000 capacity venue ANYWHERE in this country, the demand is going to be extremely high compared to the number of available tix.

I hear ya. This was a few years ago when Mike & the Duo were playing with Phil & Friends, before Trey joined the tour. Something happened where Mike’s bus broke down or something and they were gonna be late, so Phil & Friends opened the show instead of Mike. Once that started circulating the lot, a whole lot of people seemed pissed off about it. And for some reason everyone though that it was Trey and Mike, as opposed to just Mike. In the end, the place was packed for the Phil show and then about 95% of the people left before Mike came on. Leaving a crowd of about 50 of us to enjoy the Mike show.
I’m not really sure what the demand would be, I was just throwing that out there.
I’m dying to go to the St. Louis show. The Fox is 10 minutes from my house. Any idea if I’ll have better luck at the Fox box office or online? I’m a stay at home mom to an 18 month old so dealing with him while waiting in a potentially long line doesn’t sound like fun but if it gives me better odds, I’ll load up with books and toys to keep him occupied.
If I were you, I would go to the box office a few hours early and try it that way.
i was there and definitely remember the anti-Phish/trey hostility of the Deadheads at the NC shows. But then i lived in Asheville for a while and although it is still more of a Dead town (understandably) there is for sure enough Phish love in there and of course the rest of the country to fill about 35 Civic Centers simultaneously.
Hell yes. The time is now. I just requested a taper-preferred ticket for St. Louis (I have family up there).
TAPER-PREFERRED. It’s just hitting me now. I have the opportunity to tape a Phish show. I’m going to make sure my recording is a good one, even if it means tying a portable battery to my Tascam and some SM57s.
