I’m guessing America is thinking it’s time for them to step in and start policing the world again, because that always turns out well. 
Yup. Yet another excuse for us to kill more of our young men and women by sending them to a war that we have nothing to do with so politicians can talk heroically about how they’re “protecting our freedom.”
And the beat goes on. LaDeDaDeDee. LaDeDaDeDah.

This is the last thing this country needs to get involved in, but the US loves to throw it’s weight around, so i’m sure our Government will get involved soon enough… 
Easy cynics. We haven’t committed any troops yet. I’d be very disappointed, at least, if Obama commits the US play “world police”, like goldenroad said. Still, this worries me.
Yah I know 6 people that have taught, are teaching, will be teaching their right now.
I talked to one of them this morning and she said its kind of blown out of proportion, but its pretty scary.
This is a lose-lose situation for Obama…
If he tries to get tough, the GOP will claim “More reckless Big Government Intervention” and if he takes a soft stance, the GOP will rip him for being a wimp and tell their weak minded base that N. Korea will nuke us by the end of the year because we won’t stand up against Communism…
this is pretty much a lose-lose for everybody.
There are a few things that I tell my students that can start WW III.
Iran/or others attacking Israel, China attacking Tawain, Pakistan and India getting into it over Kasmir with nukes, and this…hope this shit blows over. This has been happening for a while…the DMZ has had soldiers on both sides ready to go since the end of the Korean war.

Wait. So we should not support an ally when a nut job regime with nukes attacks them unprovoked? I get being pissed about Iraq, Panama, Grenada, DR, Vietnam, etc. But how is the US the bad guy here? And do you really think we should have no response at all?
Obama saying that we will support South Korea in their reponse is pretty reasonable. SK doesn’t want anything to do with an all out war, because NK could level Seoul at the push of a button. We’re not going to be invading Pyongyang any time soon…
So I’m going to the RED part of China for work in a couple of weeks …

Hey, I’m with you man, despite my comment above. Absolutely you go and defend your allies. I trust if North Korea ever attacked Canada, you would be there for us too…however given the past actions of the American gov’t, I have a sneaking suspicion some dickhead politicians are going to try their hardest to take this as a perfect opportunity to spread some freedom sauce all over North Korea as opposed to defending South Korea.

That’s not what I said. Look South Korea fired first. Period. If your neighbor is a pyschopath it might be a good idea to provide a substantial amount of information before you fire “test” missles.
Either way the whole “incident” provided a perfect distraction from the TSA Tyranny “YOU MUST SUBMIT”.
Oh and the USA is you and I not the criminals in DC or the ones that run the Pentagon. So, NO the USA is not the bad guy.
