man that’s a good way to descibe it…I tried desperately this summer to discover some new music, but few have stuck in regular rotation…Talking Heads, Zappa, Jimmy Cliff, Velvet Underground, and Primus are still going pretty solid for me
I don’t listen to much Phish in my free time, I feel bad making my friends listen to it all the time…even though they’ve said out of the big three I listen to, they’re their favorite, and they’re about to blow their fucking minds for the first time this saturday
Live at Apollo is something everyone should own. That 10-minute Lost Someone is epic. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with Jerry…always so comforting. Can’t help but crack a smile the second I hear that voice.
From a personal standpoint, Armstrong never rocked my face off so I’m leaning towards Young. Besides, Young’s still pumping out music and…well…Armstrong hasn’t been on the moon in a while…
^Ya, I get what you mean there. That sense of exploration and him, Aldrin and “the other guy” are basically the ultimate case of that. Plus it’s pretty ballsy to go up there knowing that any number of stuff could go wrong and they’d be screwed if it did.
Yeah, I get it. And, like I said, what he did was very cool… but most of us could do it with a little training. I could certainly imagine standing on the moon without freaking out. I mean, it’s a loveley view of heaven… but I’d rather be with you.
^You know, the pro-Tesla, anti-Edison stuff is getting annoying enough that I’m going to start a pro-Edison movement. And why don’t we see the same movement with Elisha Gray and the telephone? No one cares about him? These things are silly to me.
