ahhh, this makes me so happy. i hate Kings of Leon so much. i guarantee worst has happen and bands have continued. i bet GG Allin wouldn’t have stopped.

Hate all you want, more fun for me. My favorite new band since … maybe Phish actually. You have to hear the first two albums though, and be willing to look beyond that hit-single-first-impression you must have.

Admittedly, that is the exact impression that I have. I know there are plenty of people out there who love KofL, and more power to them. Don’t mean to rain on your parade. Yes, you shall have one extra seat to rage in at their shows, as I will be sitting those out.

^^totally right on the album title, and on how damn different it is. Seriously my take is that each album is radically different, and each one sounds like a different band. The fourth one, even though it’s my least favorite, and even though it’s caused them to be a pop phenomenon, is still a logical progression. Supposedly their fifth will be out in the fall and the band says its nothing like Only by the Night, … which is definitely their dumbest album title as well.
And Aha Shake Heartbreak, the second album, is by far my favorite.
^ Supposedly their next album is a remix album or something with Justin Timberlake and others. No kidding.

DALLAS - A Dallas woman touched her friend’s buttocks, sparking an assault and attempted stabbing, police said.
The alleged incident happened at an apartment in the 1700 block of Trade Winds Drive in the southern section of the city.
According to a police report, 22-year-old Laquita Mattox rubbed a finger along the victim’s butt crack, prompting her to clench her buttocks. The victim claimed the clenching caused the bed she was sitting on to break, angering Mattox.
A fight ensued in which Mattox repeatedly hit the victim before grabbing a butcher knife and threatening to kill her. According to the report, she said, “Are you ready to die?”
The alleged victim called police and the suspect fled, the report stated.
Officers found no visible injuries on the woman, who refused medical attention.
It was not immediately clear if police arrested the Mattox.
