I purchased Lawn Boy right about the time it was re-released on Elektra Records (I think 90 or 91). The color of the art work on my cd is a teal color. My brother purchased his copy a year or so later, maybe two. His cd art work is more of a blue color. Ok, what I’m getting at is on my brother cd, the song Lawn Boy is weird…the vocals are slower sounding, giving Page a deeper voice. My copy sounds normal. He didn’t believe me and I showed him. Different color discs and different vocal track on Lawn Boy. Anyone know about this? Was it done on purpose to screw with us or was it an error during reproduction?
Well, if you know you got the Elketra release, and he did too, then I don’t know. But if he might have (or you might have) gotten one of the early copies (pre-Elketra, not sure waht label, if any, they were made under).
Th original copy that I bought was blue. After it got shredded from being in my car too long, I had to go buy another copy. This disc was pink! Never really noticed a difference in anything other than the color of the disc.
I am nearly due for another copy. My current copy is blue. I will keep an eye out on the mysterious “pink” CD!
