Old Habits Never Die...

…they just fade away.

I’ve been in my current living situation for about 3 years, almost directly out of college. Same job, same apartment, same city (West Lafayette, IN).

Since then, I’ve:

-gotten my oil changed at the same place every time
-used the same ATM every time
-gotten my hair cut at the same place every time
-shopped at the same grocery store every time but once

Surely I’m not the only one that is resistant to change.

Or maybe I am.

Thoughts?

anytime i’m back in Ft Lauderdale (my hometown) for an extended period of time (like right now) i tend to fall into all my old habits as if i were still in high school or something and i start feeling really old, even around people my same age that i’ve known for years. But then as soon as i get out on the road or something i realize how young i am and it completely rejuvinates me but then i get homesick and everything because i’ve become so attatched to the old ways and stuff and it just confuses me.

old habits are hard to break but i for one am not afraid of changes.

do you really need to change places that you get your oil changed every single time?

sometimes i pleasure myself with my left hand, and sit on it first before hand (no pun intended)for a few minutes that way it falls asleep. I call this “the stranger”.

a) Well, no. I guess not, but it’s just a matter of convenience I suppose.

b) I’ve never heard that before.

gotten my oil changed at the same place every time
THEY NEVER FUCK IT UP…A GOOD THING
-used the same ATM every time
MAYBE CLOSE TO HOME CONVINIENT
-gotten my hair cut at the same place every time
AGAIN THEY PROBABLY DON"T FUCK IT UP
-shopped at the same grocery store every time but once
YOU KNOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS AT

these don’t necessarily mean you are in a rut of habits, but you like consistincy. my take anyway.

The man speaks the truth, folks.

My Dad changes my oil still. I use the same ATM every time. My Mom cuts my hair. I work at the same grocery store I’ve worked at for 3 years now.

I think I’m more resistant to change than you.

I wasn’t calling the Amish.

I just wanted to know people who were settled into the same ol’ routine.

Um, let’s see…in the last three years i have,

had my oil changed at a different place everytime
Had my hair cut in MANY different places
Lived in three different cities, with three different people (however im about to have a college reprise and live with my two roomates from school)
And I have worked at my job for two years, before which I did a stint in D.C. and Baltimore.

I’m trying to change my routine as we speak.
