Q4T?
im not the hugest fan myself (as a small business owner) but he;s got the job, and its best that he’s supported. thats my opinion.
I agree with Piper about supporting the president until he does something of Bush proportions. He’s innocent until proven guilty for me, so I voted for him and approve for now. The people who bitch about him can voice their complains to the RNC for not having/finding a better person to run against him than John McCain… same for the democrats in 2004.
Just agreeing with you.

Q4T
Here’s a little more nonpartisan banter:
Carl Herman (LA County Nonpartisan Examiner) says:
When Lincoln proposed legislation to end slavery, his idea was a 5% federal buyout a year for 20 years to allow labor markets to adjust. Likewise, we need peaceful transition from corporate domination of profit maximization to real care for our collective health. The actions of Congress, not their ever-flowery rhetoric, demonstrate their protection of “health” insurance companies over the American publics’ health.
The bill is said to require start-up costs of $2 billion. This need not be “borrowed” if another corporate interest - banking profits - were replaced with an option for the public good: monetary reform. Rather than banks having the power to create money to maximize their profits, government could create money directly for public goods and services. The savings to the public for health care reform and monetary reform are worth our readers’ full attention. Both remove clever parasites.
Cool, thanks zoot…
^ Would Bush be granted the same positive view of this? The answer would be no.
I am not opposed to Obama doing this, as I see the good in it. It’s just that he has opposed this type of thing before, that’s my only issue. Just a politician being a politician.
I do have a problem with the Soros side of this. His hedge fund has made some major bank in the past off of key deals similar to this. He’s taking advantage of the system, but I guess I really can’t blame him. I wish I knew enough to do the same. Then I could afford to take us all on the fall tour! BOO YA!
^ Would Bush be granted the same positive view of this? The answer would be no.
You’re right. After 8 years of getting to know how Bush works, it’s kind of tough to see any positives, IMO, associated with that dude.
I’ll give Obama the benefit of the doubt until I have reason not to.
Well these comments look quaint now…
Seems like W and Obama were centuries ago…
Being a white man in the automotive industry, it is generally assumed that I am a Trumper. This annoys me. I had a meeting with one of the largest manufacturers of heavy machinery earlier this week, and it started out with one dude slobbing Trump’s knob. It was disgusting.
Amazing that we don’t typically talk politics here, I’ve often wondered why. But then it’s not typically fun either, so I don’t mind. I live in a conservative white town that seems to love the guy, and it’s pretty rough. The news is making me crazy on a daily basis while this jerk does every destructive maneuver in the book. I want to tell his supporters: He’s not destroying what you THINK he’s destroying.
^ I generally avoid talking politics to keep the peace (Twitter is a different story). When I want to upset people here, I just give a show a bad review.
Amazing that we don’t typically talk politics here,
Because politics fucking suck, it’s all about which lies you believe, and it’s not even remotely enjoyable to discuss it. I’ve seen a few other jamband boards that have a politics section and it’s awful…just millenials acting like victims, claiming they know all the answers and insulting anyone who has a dissenting opinion. Politics makes people retarded.
In the end, I think we overreact far too much to what folks say (or tweet) since usually nothing comes of it. And given that almost nothing Trump is doing is being voted on by Congress, basically all of it will be reversed once he’s gone just as easily as it was passed. That’s politics now, it seems. He’s a minor inconvenience but isn’t near as bad as some other presidents I can think of (starting a war for no reason, for example).
In the end, it’s very humorous to see how media and other politicians have no idea how to handle him at all. When I see folks hurling insults and playing his game, it just gives him exactly what he wants. Even more disappointing that Trump has been the extremely childish ways that many politicians have tried to deal with him. They’re all so stupid.
And I’m convinced there’s no such thing as unbiased media anymore…it just plain doesn’t exist. I used to bristle about the idea of the “liberal media” but it’s impossible to ignore now…folks don’t even try to pretend they’re not biased while, at the same time, still claiming to be news organizations.
Which lies indeed. Trouble is, the alternate media folks are turning to is even faker.
Trouble is, the alternate media folks are turning to is even faker.
So true. Like 10 years ago, I knew folks who insisted that Infowars was giving us the “real” stories. I wonder what they think now.

Didn’t he like release one album a day for like two months one time? I figure you can bust out one of those.
