Ok y’all every year I go, and every year it kicks ass.They just announced the dates for this year ( June 16th-18th) and I think it’s a prime opportunity for all of us to get together face to face and have the first OKP Ceremony!!!

I’ve gone every year but the first, but alas, I will not be attending this year. I’ve got a baby on the way in March, and I didn’t really have that much fun last year.

Just so people know too, it is a 400 to 500 dollar commitment after food, misc. (wink) and transport, along with the ticket and souvenirs. Just something to keep in mind.
I went last year, and it was awesome. But I will not be going this year even though my birthday falls smack-dab in the middle of it.
And longhairs is right about it being 400 bucks, and keep in mind that the cops are assholes down there.
i went to the first one ant it was amazing. also, we need to get some sort of okp call. like a kazoo or one of those little tube /barrell things you blow into and it makes that wizzing /whirring sound. i think that would be cool.

Should hang a shirt up in the air, like a flag, and wave it proud so everyone knows where to go.
Im planning on going this year as well, we should get personalized Oh Kee Pah whistles or bright shirts to spot your fellow board members in the crowd.
We could get something similar to the huge purpule octopus that this one RV flys every year…if you’ve been, maybe you know what I’m talkin about???

Rasta…I might be up in Victoria (hopefully)…so we could hook up for that long trek. And I say we as the ohkeepa just get an old schoolbus as discussed in teh chat and paint 'er up dayglo with psychedelic gamehenge imagery and pick up OhKeePa’ers the whole way and party on the bus, then we’ll just keep it going from festival to festival or all the way with phish if we’re given the chance. I’m sure you’ve all come to realize at this point that it will have to be called PHURTHER!

I got a great car for it… low miles, cargo space, not too terrible of gas milage… What a blast that would be. GR, if you’re gonna be down in the area, let’s do it! I feel absolutely certain that you’d be a fantastic road tripping companion.
^ it is allittle(alot) fratty to tell you the truth. I went down thinking that I would be kynd folk but i was sorely disappointed. It was a bunch of high fiving, beer slamming, chest pounding, testosterone cases. That was about it.
