Page joins the moe

Damn me straight to hell. I have no excuse.

All this week they have been finding sit-ins for Al (one of the guitarists). He has tendonitus in his right hand and couldn’t play…

I really hope this doesn’t hurt the future of moe…

After this week they are taking an already planned break and Al claims he’ll be fine when they get back. But I know a few people with tendoitus and know it’s not something you just spring back from, it always bothers them…

Anyways, this week should be fun and I should be seeing them in Albany Saturday (the last show before the break) and it will be interesting and fun to see who sits-in with them.

^ didn’t make it, huh? that’s too bad, looks like a killer show.

i don’t really know there whole set-up, but doesn’t Al play guitar and some keys too, as well as their other percussion guy…he plays some keys as well? someone verify this please.

Al does play a Moog. This was just recently introduced, maybe a few years ago…

But he mainly plays guitar and I love the dual guitar sound they have going for them. But since this injury he’s just been playing the Moog these past few shows. Their percussion guy, Jim Loughlin, doesn’t play any keys.

Ok, just got the word on PT moe. and then checked the site, apparently they’re cancelling their North Carolina shows (Raliegh and two nights in Asheville)

From the .org:

UPDATED MOE. TOUR ALERT::
As we announced on Monday, Al has taken the advice of several doctors and has temporarily stopped playing guitar due to severe tendonitis in his right hand. Although he continues to sing while on the road, the pain of his injury is ever-present, and after much discussion and thought, we have decided that Al needs to take a month off after the Baltimore, MD show to fully rest his hand and to pursue physical therapy if the doctors deem it necessary.

As a band and as friends, we were faced with the very tough decision of whether or not to continue the tour without him. It is with much regret that we make the announcement that we are canceling our North Carolina shows: the 10/26 Disco Rodeo show in Raleigh, and the 10/27 and 10/28 shows in Asheville. Tickets for these shows will be fully refunded at the point-of-purchase, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

We will continue to have a series of friends sitting in for the Buffalo, Albany, Sayreville and Baltimore shows, and Al will be singing at those shows. We are also offering refunds at point-of-purchase for those remaining shows for any fans who choose not to attend.

^Damn. I too really hope this doesn’t effect the future of moe. I need my moe.

^ that sounds pretty fan-friendly to me. I’d like to see a moe show sometime, when they come near me.

GO SEE MOE!!!

When the first hiatus came i went on tour for about three weeks with said band. Best fans EVER!!

This thread led me to believe that Page had joined moe. on a permanent basis.

^ I thought that too at first.

I’ve seen portions of two moe shows at festivals (10k and Bonnaroo), but I’d like to see an indoor show.

wow…I was under the impression that phish phans were the best PHans ever

^HOLY FUCK!

You’re back!

i gots ta hear this

i love moe.

i love page even mo’

Seriously considering seeing Moe. this Saturday in Albany. Who do you think will fill in for Al??

That’s really too bad about Al. I too love the dual guitar sound and hate to see this happen to him. Hope he has a quick and speedy recovery.

Well…not sire if tonights show in Buffalo will be cancelled or not…

My cousin and her BF left earlier for the show, they were planning on hitting up Buffalo> Albany and they couldn’t get into Buffalo. The place is pretty much shut down due to all the snow…

Hopefully they’ll be able to get out for Albany.

If anyone cares…

So if anyone was ont he fence about the show, this will either make your decision to go or not to go easier.

Just got back from the Albany show, moe. brought it once again…

No dissapointments here!

I would have liked to see Bayliss take lead more though… he probably felt like it wasn’t right or something… but I think he should have went for it either way. Real solid moe. show!

i went to the first night of moe when they were at higher ground and despite the lack of al…it was a real solid show. i thougt gordon stone and adam terrel both did a great job fillin in. unfortunatley, i didn’t go the 2nd night. i was so bummed when i got the text message from my friend sayin that page was fillin in…

Apparently there was a great Chalkdust jam/tease out of moth > head on Sat. I just got the show off of BT but haven’t heard it yet. So…ya…moe. without Al, but with Brendan Bayliss from Umphrey’s filling in Jammed a chalkdust tease in between moe. songs…awesome.
