damn that looks like a really short show, any idea on how long it was. looks like a 80 - 100 min’s max

Page played to a half-full room last night.

People have something better to do with their time then see Page? Jesus himself better have been in town that night or that is totally inexcusable.

Burlington show started at 9:30 and ended 11:15.

that kinda makes me wish that there would be an opener tomm night, i guess it’ll be a quicke then

Just listened to the May 30th show. It was teh titties. Even the Stuck in the Middle encore was nice. I hope I can hear every show from this tour. You can knock 'em back easy.

Just got back from the Philly show. I’m dissapointed. Those guitarists got nothing.

I’d like to say, though, that Strange Design was beautiful.

^ I’ve really dug every show I’ve heard so far. I agree those guitarists got nothing on Trey, but I think they’ve got more than nothing in general. Either way, be glad you got that Strange Design. Who doesn’t love Strange Design?

I was at the philly one too. Definitely something was left to be desired. The majority of the show lacked energy, mostly because the band was afraid to play out at all, like they were scared of upsetting page or something. The drums were also very low in the mix, and that probably had something to do with it.

Beauty of a Broken Heart was a killer set closer, but as UB-40 stated, Slomoff completely sucked it up on the guitar solo. Its not even about being like Trey, its just about phrasing a competent sounding solo. I guess he just along for the ride because hes Page’s friend.

The bass player also never quite looks like he knows what hes doing.

Anyway, I’m talking a lot of shit, and I’m not trying to, but I guess thats how it is. Thats just how shit came off to me when I was there.

EDIT: I still had an alright time though

so this is turning into 70 Volt Parade tour all over again…

no, it’s much better than 70 volt

theres a difference between mellow and uninspired

I wouldn’t say it was uninspired, I mean the guy wrote a lot of those songs about his divorce with his wife and the band he was in for 20 some years, that to me is inspired writing.

as far as his playing being uninspired, I

Just to be clear, I thought Page’s playing was exceptional, and I love a lot of his lyrics, I thought the rest of the band was uninspired for the most part.

^^Damn wupphl, I wish I had known you were there, we could have met up.

I agree with you on the uninspired thing. I think I was a little too brief with my statement earlier. It really did lack energy though. You can tell that the kids who had seen Phish weren’t all that impressed and those who didn’t were just happy to see someone from Phish playing. I felt good for them, it was nice that they found it so enjoyable.

But seriously, no Clavi? Come on, Page.

for sure man, yeah I guess we kinda dropped the ball on that one. Next time well plan shit better.

About his setup, I was happy because he had more stuff then he did at the World Cafe. I was so happy to see the Moog back again.

No recordings for the next few shows yet, but I’ll put up a link as they surface.
