Alright, so I saw Particle last Sunday and here’s the story…
They played in a theater in my homewtown, to a crowd of maybe 350 people. It was very intimate and a very cool way to see a show. For the first hour it absolutely raged. There was so much energy from such a small room, and the expressions on the band’s faces told the crowd this was true. About 5 or 6 songs in, they continue the breakdown from the song they were finishing, and begin to throw shirts into the crowd. It was ok, as it seemed like they were feeding the flames. Then, they start to explain they will be having a dance contest for 10k tickets, and the best ladies couple who gets on stage and dances wins two tckets. So 6 groups of girls get on stage and begin the dance off.
Let me make this part clear, Antelope sugueing into Sparkle right before the ending would not have killed the energy as much as this dance off did. I’m not joking. It took me a full song to even begin moving again, all the while standing there thinking to myself, why the fuck…
I don’t know, maybe this complaint is invalid, but it really pissed me off. [/rant]
