3 Super Bowl victories v. 1 Super Bowl victory
Is this a vote comparing them on this weekend? season? head to head? career stats? women they’ve nailed? if you only had one bullet to use?
Either way I’ll pick Peyton since he’s the man.
We are really fortunate to be living in a time when these two quarterbacks are playing. They have had many memorable games so far and I expect this rivalry to build more and more each year. When we are old men sitting in our rocking chairs 40 years down the road, these are the players we will still be talking about. These are two of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game and we are spoiled to be able to see them play each other at least once a year.
When picking between athletes, the basis I usually use is “If I were starting a franchise, which player would I pick to lead this franchise?” Or something along those lines.
Having said that, I voted for Peyton Manning, because I think he is the better quarterback.
I thought you said this was over-hyped enough in the other thread…
Besides, I vote for Derek Anderson.
who?
He is the Browns QB.
He’s pretty good.
But he ain’t no Manning or Brady.
I know, just making a point
that he is a nobody
To be honest, I couldn’t tell you half the starting QBs in the NFL these days.
That includes the Vikings.
It’s Randall Cunningham, right?
point made.
:
The quarterback situation in Minnesota is probably the worst in the league.
It has gone Tarvaris Jackson (2nd round draft pick from small Division 1 school who Childress thinks is great but actually is not NFL material)–>Kelly Holcomb–>Tarvaris Jackson–>Kelly Holcomb–>Brooks Bollinger
all of those changes have been due to injury, but it doesn’t really matter who plays out of those three. they all suck.
Brooks Bollinger?
I thought he was dead.
Oh wait, that’s Brook Berringer.
True, they all suck.
Extremely difficlu question, and before this season I might have said differently, but its Brady. Now that he has legitimate weapons at wr, which Manning has had from the very beginning, he has been literally unstoppable. 60 tds in one season!?!?!?!? Thats what hes on pace for.

tommy misses his binky.
After this year 4 sb to one, this really isn’t that tough of an argument
^
With that logic, would you take Terry Bradshaw over Tom Brady?
Well if you take Cunningham and remove and form of passing ability as well as remove the ability to make any remotely decent decisions and remove about 1/4 of his speed, then add about 20 pounds then you’d have Tavaris Jackson. So you’re close.
And it’s easily Brady and I was saying that before this year. Peyton’s a great quarterback but Brady always did more with less and its just a flat-out winner. Even last year Peyton didn’t win the Super Bowl…it was won with a consistent run-game which the Colts constantly would ignore in past playoff runs. But yeah…it’s easily Brady…it’s almost bizarre when he blows a game. Even now we’re finally seeing what Brady would be like if he were in Peyton’s system and had the receivers Peyton had and he looks even better.
Stevo
Tom Brady is better, he has for the bulk of his career had a mediocre @ best reieving corps and at best just above average running game and see what he has done and is doing now that he has a supporting cast, making a mockery of nfl defenses.
what gets peyton manning off

what gets tom brady off

You decide whos better

but if we’re just talking about the two in the poll i’m gonna go with Peyton because Tom Brady…
- is kind of a douche
- stole my name
- is on the Patriots
and because Peyton is just a great player.
I agree with everything but this. And while I understand the point you’re trying to make, the Colts won the Super Bowl last year because of Peyton Manning in the second half of the AFC Championship game. He came through and acted like the winner Tom Brady has always been, and naysayers had claimed Peyton would never be.
Brady>Peyton.
But not by alot.
