She loves the boys. Not in the uberdork-fanboy way I do. But she loves music, loves to play music (piano and a bit of guitar), and loves Phish. We went to 12/3 at MSG together , which was the second week we started seeing each other and had a blast. We’ve even learned to play a couple Phish tunes together.
Being a piano player, she’s got a huge crush on Page.
I’m jealous of all you folks who’s found someone special to enjoy Phish with. I can only hope that when I find mine, he’s just as into them as me. Or at least, just as into good music.

My wife said the other day, “You know, I bet I know 60 percent of Phish’s stuff now, but I still don’t know all the names or why people go nuts for certain songs.”
That’s better than nothin’. She’ll never be a head so that’s about as good as I’m going to get. She’s allowing the 32 year old kid she’s married to to traverse the country this summer in search of “hetty jams”, so you gotta hand it to her. She’s a keeper.

My wife was never into Phish in the sense that we are, but she liked their albums to have on around the house or in the car and stuff like that. She saw one show with me (my first, back in 96) and enjoyed it, but it was a bit “much” for her. But she tolerated my obsession and was pretty cool about it overall. Even though we split up 10 years ago, she still emails me articles or links to things about Phish when she runs across them, or asks about my tour plans every summer. 
Ben, your wife and my wife might be good friends over time, 
when we meeting up? My lil bro is moving from Iowa this summer so I might get down there soon…
Keeper - HELL yeah! My wife loves Phish, knows a good deal of the tunes and understands the scene but is ultimately a fan of GREAT Music anyway!

Dude, I drink with Lindsay almost every weekend. Just got hammered with her last Saturday evening on the patio out there, before work called me away. That’s always fun, getting called away to look at a bs network problem half-in-the-bag.
Yep, Laura will be with me! We’re hitting the Cubs/Brewers game up in Milwaukee on 6/10 and then driving down to Toyota the next day. We’ve got tickets in section 104, about mid-level it looks like. She can’t do huge GA floors like at Toyota so I had to get up in the stands. I’m cool with that.
Hmm, we are GA for Toyota, but I am wondering if the stands would have been better for my wife too…
My wife is totally on board with Phish. I took her to Hampton and that was it, she was hooked.

My spiritual health AKA sobriety if that’s what I’m into at the time comes before her, children, before everything else. Phish is my spiritual sacrament, and if some little bitch is going to be so egocentric and selfish as to try to prevent me or anyone else from doing what they love, for whatever reason it is, they need to go find some other asshole’s dick to suck that she earned. I mean if they don’t like the music, cool whatever, but if they won’t even go to a show or let you see your shows… RED FLAG!!! SELF-WILL RUN RAMPANT!!! 
So when I got tickets for the Summer (Hartford, SPAC, Jones Beach,) I got tickets for both myself and Courtney. I was telling her over the phone shortly thereafter to which she said, “yeah SPAC is going to be a problem for me. I got a family wedding and alot of family we havent seen in a while will be in town. It’s kind of a big deal”.
To which my response was, “OK…is SPAC gonna be a problem for me?” To which she responded, “I don’t see how it could be”. Shortly after we ended the conversation I thought to myself “She’s def a keeper”.
She came to the two nights in Hartford , we then drove back to Bridgeport to drop her off at the Ferry back to Long Island before making our way to SPAC. We had a blast together at Hartford and I was def missing a little something without her there for the next two shows. The one thing she says she gets such a kick out of is the way me and my friends excitedly talk about Phish the way a couple of little kids would talk about their favorite baseball players.
Oh and not only did she not have a problem with me going to SPAC instead of the wedding, she responded with tickets for us to Camden. When she called me and told me she got them my only response was: “You are the woman for me!”
I recently went to Wakarusa with this girl i’ve been having a thing with and it was there that we realized how much we both love Phish. Now shes going to Raleigh -> ATL with me and Edward. I’m so glad to have a girl now that loves seeing Phish as much as i do. Because other girls i’ve been with liked Phish but they didnt care about them to the extent i do. They liked 'em but they didnt get IT, and what makes me happy is that i think this girl really does. Plus she doesn’t mind carrying my stuff for me etc since i have only one arm. Very helpful girl. And its not like we’re even official dating or anything which i love even more. God this girl knows me.

very similar here in my world… andrea loves phish and live music in general, it’s incredible to be able to share some of the experiences we have, and many of them are centered around going to shows and the whole adventure that goes with’em. i wouldn’t have it any other way! she’s got a lotta passion for music and we feed off each other in that sense, i love the energy we have together because of that. her dad is an orchestra conductor, she was brought up to appreciate live music. plus, she looks after my crazy self at shows, i need someone to guide me to the gates at the right time, help me walk after shows, etc. 
i do have a decent amount of friends who enjoy the fact that they have phish as “their thing” and their significant others just don’t bother going with’em on trips to shows. it’s their time away from home activity (takes place of hunting or fishing i suppose! lol) and a great release/recharge.
that way still works well for people, as long as the other person understands
however, i was dating a girl just after college who couldn’t stand phish and strongly disliked me traveling to the shows. (she was into country music and such, a farm girl from iowa) i broke up with her the day after i got home from vegas '04. i just couldn’t handle that conflict anymore (along with a couple other things) either way, it was tough to be with someone who tried to make me feel guilty about seeing phish. i mean WHAT THE FACK BIIITTCH 
now… when i couldn’t make it to one night of alpine last year and andrea was there, or when i went to a night at red rocks last minute and she didn’t, you best believe there was some heated words!! lol
