Confess your Phish sins to me, my children. I’ll go first.
I don’t think the Ghost from IT is that amazing.
I like 46 Days more than Harry Hood.
I think that Live Phish 7 isn’t worthy of release, since there’s a hundred other shows I’d rather have on soundboard.
I guess I can confess that I am way too obsessed with Phish and can’t find fault in anything they have done…Even as much trash as I may talk about Undermind, it is only because I haven’t listened to it enough.
I have a confession… I haven’t listened to the majority of the Phish albums ???
Hello…my name is Terry Vernixx. I am a PHISH addict. I am addicted to soundboards. ESPECIALLY MID 90’S and specifically 1998. I have nearly everything from 1993. I am presently collecting 1990, 1999, and what I am missing from 1995.
And I am BORED BY POST-HIATUS HIT-OR-MISS RAMBLING BULLSHIT…
hi. my name is Marianne, and i’m fuckin Addicted to PHISH!!! and the Oh Kee Pah Lounge for that matter…
Here are my confessions:
I missed the last Hood ever because I was so friggin cold at Coventry. I listened to it leaned back, heat on in my car w/ a cup of coffee and wiping mud and poop off me with wet ones.
I love glowstick wars.
I have sung along to Jennifer dances.
I’ve never listened to the album “Lawn Boy”.
I was always disappointed to see “David Bowie”.
I sometimes play Trey’s Speech from Coventry for non-Phishhead friends and laugh about it.
I missed 12/2/97 in Philly to so homework.
I think the Camden '99 show may have been an all-time low watermark for the band.
My second all-time favorite show that I attended is post-hiatus. (1st nite of SPAC 2004)
Most of “Mike” songs (aside from Mike’s Song) are pretty lame.
I don’t really like bluegrass.
oooh…low blow on cactus
Bless me father for I haved Phishinned.
It’s been 10 and a half years since my last confession.
I’ve been an addict since '93
I’ve yelled “Hood” at least 10 times.
I don’t remember the 2nd set of deer creek '97(Spun)
I passed on going to Alpine Valley '98 for a girl. (yes I know they opened with Ramble On)
I don’t like it when Fishman sings “Love you”
I like indoor shows better then outdoor shows.
C’mon now…I love the Cactus. But as a songwriter…not so much. I gave myself some wiggle room on that one saying “most”. Still love Weekapaug and Destiny too.
Sometimes i skip over tweezer( I know that is one of those mortal sins, and I am sorry)
I love undermind, but don’t like billy to much
I rarely stand up for trey when my buds make fun of his voice.
I HATE glowstick wars
At one point friday was my favorite phish song
-not a huge fan of antelope
-i think all members of phish should always have a beard of some kind (even mike)
-when i saw phish live and they played golgi, i had no idea what the song was
-same with funky bitch
-…and drowned
-i wish mike and page wrote more
-guelah papyrus blows
-i think mike should try a new hairstyle
Thank you my children. Please continue.
Hmmm…
-
I have found myself dancing (or attempting to dance) to Bowie, and in mid groove, have stopped and realized that I looked like complete offbeat idiot… and vowed to never again try to dance to David Bowie.
-
When I first started seeing them… I would fake/sing the words to the songs so that I wouldn’t look so green( Brian, my husband, said that everyone would be able to tell that I’d never been to a show b/c I didn’t know any of the “secret language” or the song cues)… which is the worst thing to do to a Phish song b/c you can NEVER predict what the next word is going to be, especially with their off the wall lyrics. WOW… that’s really embarassing!
-
I hate JULIUS… it reminds me of cheesy, televangelistic church music…
-
I have done the " meatstick dance" in the nude.
-
I called “The Curtain with” as the very last Phish song 3 weeks before Coventry… and was right.
-
I do the " Stash" hand clap in my car… at my desk… it the shower… anywhere,at anytime.
-i enjoy the beginning and the end of undermind, but despise the middle.
-i called my friends not being able to make it to coventry and was absolutely correct
-i have definetly shouted hood and enjoyed it
-glowstick wars are great and should never stop
-i have requested catapault
-bowie is alright, but i’ll take possum anyday
-ghost should always be super tight and funky, sly stone style, not super loose and funky, george clinton style
I always hated David Bowie and thought Mike should be louder.
I left the last night of island tour 2 songs into set 2 because the girl I brought didn’t like the show…uggg
– the first time I heard “Esther” was about 1 month ago and I disliked it
– I’ve never heard Gamehendge all the way through
– When I first got into Phish, I bought Billy Breathes, hated it, and sold it to a friend for $10
– I sometimes get drunk and play air-guitar to some of Trey’s awesome solos by myself in my apartment
– I can’t listen to the “Wolfman’s Brother” from Halloween 1998 sober without being completely turned off (I guess that one isn’t that bad)
–I have no interest in listening to pre-1994 Phish
–I think this thread is good in that it will allow people to get things off their chest!!
i, too, have shouted hood.
i really like post-hiatus phish, for the most part.
coventry was one of the best times ive ever had. i even thought the show was good.(not GREAT)
i dont think i truely “got it” until i dosed at a show.
sometimes the squirming coil piano solo goes on a bit long (sorry page)
i still listen to phish everyday.
Hello My Name is Dave, And i think John Fishman is Sexy
i ran away from home in '95 to “hop on tour”…
i hate the wilson chant, the hood chant and the clapping during stash.
i hate when people do the ‘clap to the beat’ thingy during bad ass jams.
