kinda weird that you are hatin since last night got way better reviews than tues, overall…
I haven’t heard enuf of either to reallly say. last night looked solid. I expected that tweezer to be at least 15 minutes the way peopel were talking.
^ Maybe that was just not my kind of show, but the previous night had way more jamming, more energy, a more interesting setlist. Last night was fine, but it was very run of the mill, and maybe that’s just what some people want in a Phish show. There was nothing in last nights show that hit the peaks of the Melt, Gin, Antelope or Number Line the night before.
The whole thing really went belly up for me when instead of taking that Hood to it’s logical peak, Trey just said “What’s the Use?”, let’s play Wading and Possum instead to end the show. And this was not even a great, epic show-ending possum, this was like an opening night set 1 Possum. I’m not a big Guyute fan, so throwing that into the middle of a second set doesn’t do much for me either. The Tweezer was good, but it was nowhere near 15 minutes, in fact it felt like nothing was really jammed out all night. That Mikes Groove couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes total.
The first set was better than the second, but could have used a bit more exictement.
