My love is and will always stay with this board. I gave up this info a full 5 days before any PT PH .net or any board and it’s member’s was privy. I should have assumed that peeps would take this info and run with it all over but that is the nature of the beast. In my original thread i stated a venue was booked by Phish and a summer tour is being talked about. I still stand by it! Time heals all wounds peeps. Trust me that every ? you have has been asked by me to my peeps and this is still all the info we have. Any new info i get will be givin in the future to this board only. As for Phish.net, well someone is getting there azz chewed out cuz they did not get the scoop lol. Long Live OKP! If and when it happens just remember bigb loves ya baby!
Anyone know if Rob Johnson and or Scott Boyarsky are still maintaining the Phish.net site or did they pass it off to someone else? I know Ellis Godard is running the Mockingbird Foundation with his wife, but don’t know if Dan Hantman is also still involved with things.
Any of the OKP administrators connect with these guys. The front page mentions OKP twice, so I thought they would have to ask permission to do that.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - bigb is THE King of this board. He may not post as much as others, but its quality - not quantity. I got your beer at the Spectrum, dude. Then we’ll head to Pat’s late night for a cheesesteak.
I’v never been to the spectrum… good venue?
Marie and I wound up sitting next to Ellis and Kristen quite by chance at 12/29/97 MSG, our 4th show. We didn’t know who they were until we sat next to them again, quite by chance, in the second row of 8/8/98 at Merriweather. By this time, we both knew each other from our posts to the rmp, and Kristen bonded with Marie and made sure nobody encroached upon our space down in front. They were so cool.
I have an old rmp post about that show somewhere, and should dig it out. That was the show I made eye contact with Page because they played NICU as their second song even though they played it two nights earlier. The reason, I’m concvinced, was because they saw this old couple in the second row and the guy was wearing a hat with NICU on it.
When they started the song, Ellis, Kristen, Marie and I started jumping around and I waved the hat at Page (because we were right in front of him) to thank him for it. He nodded and smiled back as he continued to play the song. Yeah, definitely a cool night. The Sweet Jane and Sabotage was nothing to gloss over either.
I think Trey gets amped up for Philly shows - esp. the Spectrum because his dad is usually there. It’s really his home arena…he grew up playing hockey & rooting for the Flyers who used to play there and I know that his dad gets season tickets to the Flyers (or at least used to).
Amenities are less than ideal - especially when the Wachovia Center right across the street is much nicer, but I think the sound at the Spectrum is better.
thanks for that last note…not knowing anything about philly…i assumed that the wachovia was the spectrum just with a changed name…but now i see that the spectrum is the older one which is cool…more sentimental to a lot of older concerts
WORD
OKP is the friendliest message board I’ve ever been on. I’m proud to be a part of this amazing group. And I was surprised to see a rumors go up on Phish.net. I saw it yesterday.
