Thanks for the suggestions guys. Justin, good call on “Dirt” - I totally forgot I’d learned that one years ago, and thanks to you I remember how it goes. (I think it’s D, Am, C, G for the verses, then Em, C during the “I’ll never hear your voice again” part tho.)

I sort of figured out Franklin’s Tower yesterday, I think. Now that i have my guitar in hand - it IS A major > G > D > G > A, I was just playing the A and G barred. It’s way fun just strumming the simple melody and attempting to sing over it.

I always played the A and G barred as well while playing that song, for the same exact reason, too. Plus, it just sounds better to Bar A and G, and then play the “Standard” D afterward. I just completely learned Let It Loose not long ago. It’s not easy at first, but once you get it down, it’s so worth it!!

Learning any of the Standard Blues changes is VERY HELPFUL to learn, and mostly very simple.

not a phish original but still fun to strum along. this might not be totally right but it’s what it sounded like to me just now. just play the chord over the word it’s over and keep strumming bluegrass till the next one. i didn’t do the whole thing, just the first verse and chorus, but the chords are the same for the rest of the song. also i play the little intro part i do before the chords up close but it’s kinda dark so you can’t see what i’m doing really until i sit down and do it at normal speed. i just uploaded it so the quality might improve later. this is all by ear and there are some flubs here but you can basically hear how it goes. enjoy!
