There is some serious symbolism in those pictures. Look at both of them; they’re both blurry. Just like I’m sure Mike and Trey’s minds were at the time. And their vision of their music was pretty blurry too.
I doubt Mike was nearly as blurry as Trey.
In and out of focus, Mikes face is blurry…
Kind of disturbing. I’m glad it’s “families on tour” instead of “parties on tour” these days. 
Trey was so sweet he didn’t even have to tip his own beer… 
Mike would’ve been fine continuing that lifestyle.
It’s Trey who got too fucked up and lost sight of everything. Blame Trey!!! We haven’t seen jamzz the likes of GRAB tour yet in 3.0!

And it could have meant a dead Trey, and we’re currently enjoying a live version of Trey. This is good IMO.

no, that’s not really what i meant by it. i just care about the music. obviously their health and well-being affects their music, so i’d have to say i care about that too. i don’t want them to start getting wrecked for musical inspiration, i just want to see them keep playing good.
this thread was just a joke, because i think its funny to see phish with a bunch of chicks around. i don’t see these guys as the hotel-raging, old-school mick jagger or robert plant-type, with tons of girls and whatnot. it just kinda struck me as amusing because it’s the exact opposite of how i view them.
btw, im excited for what 2010 will bring

Well I think there’s a difference between partying like mad and not bringing the families around. I figure they need a break from families with a tour and that’s a good way to get away from it all but doesn’t mean they have to be snorting lines off a donkey.
