Pick one live selection...

Hypothetical question here…

Say you meet Kevin Shapiro and he tells you he’ll play one selection from any Phish show you choose. (from the archives style). This could be a single tune or a segued group of songs, like Ghost > Slave from 7/4/99, or a Mike’s Groove, etc.

What would you pick?

I felt my selection was something worthy of ‘archive status’ and not necessarily from an outstanding show that would warrant its own complete release. Feel free to make it from a show you attended - I did. :wink:

I have many candidates, but after some thought, I ended up with Meat > Harry Hood, 11/13/98, Cleveland, OH.

Even though the Hood isn’t a best-ever, the most epic Meat deserves a soundboard birth!

I requested the 05-22-2000 Ghost for the last broadcast, but he already played that on the Warfield FTA shows (check his myspace for the full sets.)
I guess a nice 12-02-1995 Tweezer would be nice or a 07-06-1994/2000 Reba.
I speak to him every few months so throw out some ideas and I’ll put a word in for the next FTA show.

Even with a pretend gun to my head, I still have trouble narrowing this down to a “selection.”

I feel like if I pick one set or a string of songs from a show I’m insulting all of the other shows.

And I just don’t want to do that.
