40s are a thing of beauty. 3 bucks for a sizable portion of malt liquor.
I saw this in “good morning okp” and couldn’t help thinking that I should drink them more often.
My choice is Mickey’s.

I can’t say I drink 40’s too often.
And when I do, it’s not any of the flavors listed.
So I voted “other.”
“Other”
Great Western Extra Gold XXX Lager
I can’t drink that shit anymore, but back in 1st and 2nd year university that shit was a lifesaver.
Not really a 40 fan at all. I think the last time I drank one was at least 3 years ago.
Although I had a roomate who LOVED King Cobra’s, so I have to give my vote to that.
… But if you give me two Steel Reserves, I’m good for the night, and probably most of the next morning.
St Ides!
if you want to try a non-macro malt liquor Rogue’s “Dad’s Little Helper” isn’t half bad. as for the above… i used to hit the Colt 45 back in the day. i used to say, “if you’re drinking to get drunk, you can’t go wrong with Billy D.”
cisco and mad dog…i guess those arent malt liquor though…wait…are they?
are they malt beverages?
wtf?!
that’s oldE english
i was so proud the first time i finished my four-0 of delicious St. Ides. i said “yes!”, pumped my fist once in the air and then i puked on my foot. never was much of a drinker.

“Coldcock. You never see it coming.”
^crunky!
olde english all the way. i dont think ive had a 40 in 5-6 years. the last time i did my friend from home was moving to indy so a few of us decided to party at his place while the house was empty. i worked a 12 hour party at this golf private course restaurant and was ready for some booz. i picked up a case of OE 40oz for about $0.89 a bottle. ahh, the good ole days. when i showed up everyone was pretty drunk so i decided to funnel them. no joke, i got 3 of them down in just over a half hour. damn was my stomach filled up. im pretty sure we finished the case off eventually. one kid who couldnt hang through the entire case passed out on the only couch there. about every 10 minutes we would go in and flip the couch over with him on it. hed get pissed and mumble something then go back to sleep on the couch. we did this for hours. i didnt boot or anything but i think that night i realized why malt liquor was so cheap and i dont think i had any more from then on. thanks for digging up some memories!
WHAT?? How could they have a poll and NOT include the king of all forties…STEEL RESERVE. That stuff is BRUTAL. You drink two of those 40’s in a night and you’re absolutely ruined not to mention that your bowels will be ruined the next morning. In times of trouble, the Reserve has gotten me through many a weekend back in the day.
And I like people who say “Well, 40’s aren’t my thing” I’m pretty sure that most folks don’t buy 40’s because they WANT to…it’s because they have five dollars to their name, want to get drunk that evening and thus they NEED to buy a couple 40’s so they enjoy themselves. I had a few of these types of weekends in college. Ah, the good ole days.
God bless Steel Reserve
In the 40oz. days it was strictly Colt 45 until the advent of St. Ides.
colt 45 is $1.49 at the gas station across the street from my apartment.
Are Colt 45’s 45 oz.? I always thought they should be.
-Hey, let’s got get some 40’s!
-Not tonight my good man, I’m feeling saucy. 45’s on me!
