The Incredibles is my favorite. They are all really good. I remember being impressed by Toy Story when it first came out. The computer animation looked so new and cool. The animation is still stunning in every movie. The scripts are well-written and lots of good actors and actresses do all the voices. Other companies are making the same high-quality animation movies (Ice Age, etc,) but I like Pixar the best.
I have all of them. But they really raised the bar with CARS and THE INCREDIBLES. Both are great and couldn’t pick which I liked more! CARS won it out for me in the end due to the humor therein.
finding nemo isn’t just a great animated film. it’s a great film.
Have you seen any of their short-films?
They are fantastic as well.
There is one that I think is called Geri’s Game that is really good. About a guy who is playing Chess.
Another good one is One Man Band.
you can download them from the Itunes Store for like 2 bucks.
Well worth it, the quality is fantastic.
Anyway, I was going to go with Toy Story since it is what got me hooked on Pixar, but after seeing THE INCREDIBLES I have to go with that. That was really good.
I love animation in general.
Walt Disney is one of my personal heroes.
I;m going to have to go with the Toy Story series, I loved those when I was younger. And when they’re on TV today, I’ll still watch them over anything else.
I haven’t had a chance to see any of the others, except A Bug’s Life. That one just didn’t do it for me. The animation was still good, but I don’t know. It wasn’t bad or anything, just not my thing.
Toy Story 2 is an incredibly emotional film…
::blubbers::
Cars was a disappointment - it could’ve been fantastic but it was played for authenticity over laughs…
Although the Incredibles were good too, I enjoyed Finding Nemo best overall. Right blend of personalities with Albert Brooks and Ellen Degeneris made the movie what it was. The story, although kind of meh, was made more interesting by the characters.
HOWEVER…
My most favorite Pixar animation is a three minute short that came on the tape copy of Monsters Inc that I have. I don’t know whether it’s available on the CD copy, someone else will have to vouch for that, but it’s a simple little story about a bunch of little birds sitting on a telephone wire and a big clumsy bird that comes along to be part of their group.
I can’t remember the name of it, but it’s got to be the funniest short I’ve ever seen. It executes a message and a joke is such a short, concise and well executed few minutes that I just love it really more than anything Pixar has ever done. I’ll see if I can find the title. Maybe someone has posted it on youtube or break.
I too have the VHS Monsters, Inc. and so I couldn’t tell ya if the Birds short (I think its title is simply “Birds”) is on the DVD. But yeah, that’s a good 'un. I think I like that one best, although Incredibles is hard to NOT choose. Frigging awesome movie, the Incredibles.
These folks know how to make an excellent family movie, no doubt about that.
The thing that made me choose Monsters, Inc though, was the plot. Really cool story. And 'course John Goodman is even funnier than Billy Crystal. It’s like, Blue Walter. But without the violent streak.
I honestly have only seen the first Toy Story, which is over 10 years old! I just have no interest in seeing the others. Not knocking any of them, by any means, they just don’t interest me.
YOU BLEW ME COVAHHHHHHH!!!
Toy Story
kickin’ it old school
the Incredibles… I think I actually went to see this movie twice by myself… that kind of honor was only reserved for SW and lotr.
Looked it up on Imdb, and it’s called “For The Birds”, and it’s only 3 minutes long, definitely tied to the Monsters Inc release.
^yeah that was one of my favourite shorts too…the recent ones have been very disappointing though…
I’m glad that you all like Pixar too. Gamecat, Fone, those short films are really good. I’ve seen some of them before one of the movies (or later on the DVD,) but others I haven’t seen. Knick Knack is great. I think Boundin’ is my favorite.
Luxo

Geri’s Game

for the birds

Boundin’

Mike’s New Car

Jack-Jack Attack

One Man Band

The Adventures of Andre and Wally B.

Red’s Dream

Tin Toy

Knick Knack

I LOVE PIXAR.
And I actually haven’t seen all the shorts, I don’t think! But i’ve seen every movie, and love them all to death.
Toy Story was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater. I was 2, I believe. So it gets my vote for sentimental purposes. They were all good, and I don’t know if I can pick a least favorite. Finding Nemo is a masterpiece, but Cars and The Incredibles showed a ton of maturity. Bug’s Life is pretty good, TS2 is definetly not as good as the first.
The next movie, with the rat chef, looks… decent.
Man … that Toy Story 2 was real good … but that scene where Jessie is all sentimental over her former owner … smacks of ‘Sequel material’. They could have left it out. Same goes for that background on the Grinch in the Ron Howard Jim Carrey flick. I realize I’m off topic all of a sudden.
That intro parody is amazing. What a brilliant idea to make a story out of that. Some people are so creative lol.
^^haha! That’s great. Love Pixar. I read they were supposed to have a deal with Netflix to get all their movies, but the only one that’s on there is Finding Dory, as far as I know.
