Port Forwarding

Can anyone help me with this?

I’ve done portforward.com like a billion times, and it never forwards my port.

I’ve looked for help elsewhere, with no luck.

So come on OKP… Help a brother out.

This has finally started to bug the crap out of me.

I’ll need more info first, ie what OS, firewall, router, bt client, etc

Fixed it!!!

Thank you so much Fluff. I couldn’t have done it without your guidance.

Remember people, forward your wireless ROUTER… Not your MODEM.

D’OH!!!

Port forwarding rocks. Made my downloads so much fatster and easierest.

Glad it worked out fer ya, Bill…

I could use some help with port forwarding too. I’ve been trying to use portforward.com but I can’t set up a static IP because when I enter the command “ipconfig /all” in the command box (msdos?), nothing happens. I’ve got a Linksys BEFSR81 router and I use uTorrent. So in the wise words of Will, help a bro out.

port forwarding sucks

i just want to hear the mother fucker

Question…

I have a a cable modem, going through a wireless router, which goes to my comp. I use the wireless router for my laptop, but can’t seem to DL anything on it. I think it may have to do with forwarding my router. Now, my question is, do I do all of this on my laptop, or on my PC that the router is connected to?

Phishfood-
Do you first do Start>Run>type in the box “cmd”?

Buster-
The computer you are using to download (I think).

laptop.

Ok, thanks guys, I’ll pluck away at it.

Well I used “command” because when I tried to use “cmd” it said “another program is currently using this file” even after I exited everything.

phishfood, it might be easier to setup UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)

here are directions for your router: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmessenger/expert/linksysBEFSR81.mspx

and for utorrent: Go to Options > Preferences > Connections, check “Enable UPnP port mapping.”

Thanks for the help, but it actually turned out I had a virus. Anyway, everythings good now.
