In response to Arizona’s new anti-immigration law, the NBA’s Phoenix Suns
are wearing their “Los Suns” jerseys today (Cinco de Mayo), and have even
stated it is to protest the law as well.
Suns player Steve Nash: Asked if he felt the law reflected poorly on Arizona,
Nash agreed. “It doesn’t feel good to have people around the world and around
the country look at our state as less than equal, less than fair,” Nash said. “As a
proud citizen of the state, I want us to be held in the highest of esteem…I think
we need to be very cautious in how we respect our civil liberties, and the tone
we’re setting and the precedent we’re setting going forward.”

i’d say fuck the suns, but i’m amazed my spurs even made it past shitty dallas. still, i can’t say i don’t want them to win, just not gonna be upset too much if they don’t
