This pic isn’t altogether random for me, as I have it on my phone and show it to people all the time due to its shocking nature. A suburb of the city I live in, Utica, NY, is called Whitesboro. You can imagine where the name came from (there is also an adjacent Whitestown). Obviously the name has been around for a few hundred years and there is no changing it, but you would think they may want to do away with their village emblem or whatever you would want to call it. The picture I took is from the sign of the police station, but apparently it is not the only one being proudly displayed. I got this from the Village of Whitesboro website. I wish I knew how to make them bigger/closer, but you “get the picture” (har dee har har).
