It seemed as if they were trying soooo hard to be different that they fell on their faces. Im sure we aren’t the only ones who feel this way. I tuned in because I was really interested in hearing Jill Stein speak for the first time and also GJ. The way they get included is by large amounts of people demanding it from the media and news, but last night was a huge blown opportunity by them imo.
Colorado Business Owners for ROMNEY/RYAN!
Even the dispensary owners…it’s true folks…
80% of Colorado voters vote early also…Romney is projected to win from most news outlets (no way to tell who is actually winning until votes are tallied). There is also the aspect of thousands of registered Dems that are expected to vote Republican.
Yeah the ganja community is rightfully pissed at Obama for being such a poonanny when it comes to that. But I can’t imagine Romney/Ryan being dispensary friendly. Anyways, it’s gonna be a nail-biter, my friend. A “long night” as they say.
But I have a feeling this here election might yet again come down to our friends in the great state of Ohio.
I agree Ohio is the key, but off topic after looking at my facebook wall
, yeah stupid idea this time of year i know. Why does it seem as though Conservatives/Rep ALWAYS bring God into the argument? Not all Rep/Cons. do this mind you, but I rarely hear a Dem/Liberal do this. It sounds so desperate and petty and makes me almost scared of how incredibly ignorant people actually are. Am I wrong on this or do you all see this too? And why the hell do this with politics?

^^I agree 100%. I may just vote Barr. ![]()
Romney/Ryan may not be dispensary friendly, however, I think they have a mind enough to let the states (i.e. Colorado/California/Michigan etc.) handle it themselves. We all know how Democrats feel about minimizing the Federal Governments role.
^Actually, I think it should be taken care of federally. Reclassified by congress and signed by the pres.
In terms of election day, this is about what I’m thinking will happen, but I’m definitely not saying Romney couldn’t pull it off:
cnn.com/election/2012/ecalcu … RD,WAD,CAD
^ Maybe about Romney/Ryan. Romney has said many times that he will never legalize marijuana so might be shocked that he probably stands pretty close to Obama on this one. Possibly leave it up to the states, which would be nice, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t. At this point who knows…
How legitimate is this? I really really don’t like the United Corporations of America

There are going to be ALOT of melts the day after the election…Ohio? Im thinking Obama should keep his eye on Pennsylvania.
I was thinking this same thing. They don’t look like “leaders” because the job of president is less about making actual policy and more about PR…it’s easily the most overrated job on the planet. In reality, it’s shocking how little the modern presidents do. The third parties really want to push things and make changes and that’s cool but it’s debatable how much they could get done…compared to Obama and Romney who know how to “play the game” more than anyone.
And it’s definitely how they’re perceived. The two mainstream medias are kind of conditioned to hear the third parties and laugh and say “ah, that’s just cute” and then move on…they blow off everything they say as though it’s just crazy talk. When enough people hear that, they start to think that something’s wrong with them.
This is debatable, of course, but it’s a strange thing considering this is one of the states also trying to legalize weed in the same election.
I agree but they won’t. In the end, they may just “de-emphasize” the enforcement of federal laws against weed in a way to let it slide…Obama already did the same thing at the start of his term. Of course they should have a federal law for gay marriage…it’s laughable that civil rights are “up to the state”…I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t let the states decide if they want to bring back Jim Crow laws if they wanted to. Polticians are such cowards.
Anyway, here’s your last debate coverage. Not as good as the others but good nonetheless.

^^Most of us who have followed politics for some time enjoy debating policy because the policy is what we care about. But we also understand the pendulum that is American poilitics and that, regardless of who wins, it’s what is done in between the elections that matters. It’s not a baseball game. Anyone “melting” (kind of a stupid word, but I’ll go with it…) on election day was either way too caught up in the sports mentality and pissing match and doesn’t really understand politics or government, or they were listening to way too much Fall '97. ![]()
No matter which way it goes, it will swing right back the other way soon enough.
^And, yes, there are many ideas where “state’s rights” are just an excuse to subvert the constitution. The “state’s rights” crowd wouldn’t be ok with California banning guns and they shouldn’t be ok with Mississippi forcing a young girl to get on a plane in order to have an abortion, Texas incarcerating a cancer patient for growing and consuming a plant or North Carolina telling a gay man he can’t marry the person he loves. IMHO, the name “United States of America” should apply to issues other than war, or we should probably drop the first word from the name.
I totally agree…you should tell that to all the people on Facebook.
…and Ohio will go to Romney. Undecided will go to him and put him over. I’m still voting for Gary though. ![]()
^Eh, my Facebook is just a bunch of people posting pictures of wine glasses, babies and blurry sunsets. ![]()
I wish it would go back to that…so sick of boths sides that don’t stfu.
^Yeah, actually the only place I hear about the election is here on the Pa and when I choose to look it up on the news sites. That’s why I come here to post about it, cause nobody I know is really talking about it that much. Maybe it’s cause you live in such a swingy state and my state is pretty much decided.
Also, in real life, I know about 5 Republicans total. So I guess there’s not much to debate.
^^Ya know, Keith as someone who claims to be sick of hearing about stuff, tired of postings on FB, and says you do not care…you certainly drop my FB posts to add drive-by, opinions on the regular.
I would love for the two-party system to be broken. But focusing on the presidential election every four years without any larger organizing for local, state, and Congressional third-party candidates is pretty short-sighted. If by some chance an alternative candidate wins the presidency…then what? Without any support in the Congress, just how much of an agenda do you think is possible? I mean hell, the Republicans have effectively shut down, block, fillibustered, and obstructed so much already. How could anyone possibly think that a fluke alternative president will have any traction.
As I said, I think it’s a great idea, but the approach of aiming for the CiC is not feasible. Any real power comes from the bottom up, not the top down.
Never said I don’t care…I just don’t want to hear about it every 5 mins.
Like I said…I love trolling the people who post political posts on FB.

So, trolling reduces hearing about it as often? You makey no sense, pal.
Thought you would get the point. Guess not.
Oh the ironing
