I learned by a lot of trial and error and looking at the help menu. To use the effects you must have pressed the stop button and you must have part of the track highlighted. Those seem like the key points.

I’m having trouble just getting a track into the program. I’m dragging an mp3 into the window, and it’s just playing less than a second of gibberish.

Make sure its an MP3, it did that to me when I tried using AAC/MP4. To import them, go to the project tab, and click import audio.

Yeah, if it doesn’t import right, you may have to download a separate program to convert the audio files. Most of my music is in MP4 format, so I have to convert it to MP3 and then import it into Audacity.

it allows you to edit mp3 and wav files. mp4 is a itunes specific format but there is a function in itunes that allows you to import as or covert to mp3 with little trouble.

Here’s one I began last night. It only uses one Phish song, so I guess I broke the rules. I still like it though. It is Travelin’ Man > Suzy Greenberg > Beautiful Loser.

Cletus thats pretty fucking awesome… only one ive listen to so far(but ill listen to more later). You should loop that outro part from lively up yourself and have it around the same level as it is at 4:00 so just the horns stand out from the loop. That would sound hetty brah. Roggae with a side of brass.

man, i don’t understand this or know how to do any of it.

I have a new respect for yous that put up a track already.

I attemped a:
1994-11-03 Wilson >
1969-12-30 The Other One >
1995-11-14 (Manteca>) Stash

I didn’t like it so I threw it out.

But I will be back with something, I hope.

Where did you throw it?

Littering is bad, m’kay?

Recycle Bin, man.

Reduce, reuse, recycle.
