Alot of DJ’s and dance club kids LOVE Phish.

In fact, on summer tour '96 I was in a camper with 4 hardcore DJ’s and they talked about how alot of club/rave kids secretly go to Phish shows.
Secretly is what always cracked me up.
Like they didn’t want there friends to know or something. ;D

People who like good music, like good music period.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a Jamband, Country, Rap, or Electronic.
Good music is good music.

Anyway, Vern is the shit.

And I an definately NOT secretive about my love of Phish and being a DJ…I wear Phish t-shirts to DJ in all the time! Disco Biscuits, too. A lot of ravers and club kids love jam bands and vice versa. It’s all about psychedelia!!!

Yea, I agree, good music is good music. Why should you hide your love of good music. What I’d hide is going to an O.A.R show or something, not liking Phish… Alot of DJ’s are great musicians, just like Phish. The two go hand in hand.

One of my best friends is a DJ and hardcore into Hip-Hop. But he’s also been to N.O. Jazzfest with me twice and seen Phish ,Mule, Flying Frog Brigade ,WSP, and MMW w/me. In return Ive had to go to Hip-Hop parties in the City with him a few times. I gotta admit its fun, and Ive had the pleasure of listening to DJ’s who can really Throw down, just like any other talented musician.

Yeah, Creamfields looks like fun.

To bad they don’t have stuff like that in states.
It’s always teenie-boppers and crappy DJ’s.
Or clubs where you need to be pretty/beautiful to get in.

Unless someone knows of a good event like that here in the States?

Ultra is an industry wankfest during Winter Music Conference. It’s expensive as fuck all and is quite over crowded. Not to mention overblown. Kinda like Winter Music Fest itself!

I’m going to Sonar in Spain next year…

oh yeah, tube…I DJ mostly in Oklahoma & Texas with occasional trips to Nashville and Denver. There are great events in the States but you just gotta find them. It’s still and underground thing here.

yep, anybody still talk to him through other boards or anything, he gave me a copy of the original beach boys smile, shit is so good, much better than the redo that came out a year or two ago
