Yea, I agree, good music is good music. Why should you hide your love of good music. What I’d hide is going to an O.A.R show or something, not liking Phish… Alot of DJ’s are great musicians, just like Phish. The two go hand in hand.

One of my best friends is a DJ and hardcore into Hip-Hop. But he’s also been to N.O. Jazzfest with me twice and seen Phish ,Mule, Flying Frog Brigade ,WSP, and MMW w/me. In return Ive had to go to Hip-Hop parties in the City with him a few times. I gotta admit its fun, and Ive had the pleasure of listening to DJ’s who can really Throw down, just like any other talented musician.

Ultra is an industry wankfest during Winter Music Conference. It’s expensive as fuck all and is quite over crowded. Not to mention overblown. Kinda like Winter Music Fest itself!

oh yeah, tube…I DJ mostly in Oklahoma & Texas with occasional trips to Nashville and Denver. There are great events in the States but you just gotta find them. It’s still and underground thing here.
