couldn’t have said it better myself
i LOVE the ambient, abstract jamming…very badass to these ears ;D
I think all of the LivePhish releases suck more balls than spooks.
I just listened to that Mind Left Body Jam > David Bowie, and now if someone ever tells me that Trey sucks, or Trey is a doosh bag, I will make them listen to that. The Voodo Chile and Purple Haze teases at the end were pretty sweet too.
What!?! WHY?
Elaboration or specific example, please.
i take offense to that. im leaving and never cumming back
Ok, here’s my question. I’ve listened to Live Phish 1-5 in the past couple days. So, seeing as 1-6 were all released at the same time, why is it that in these 5 shows I’ve heard 4 Suzy Greenberg’s and at least 3 Llama’s?
I was just joking about not likeing the LPs. I LOVE 'em! Spooks, I’m sorry buddy. I don’t know why I felt the need to post that. But you gotta admit it was quite humerous.
No?
Dang.
Hands spooks coupon for one free burn against Guelah
Because they didn’t go by songs, they went by the overall show. There was bound to be repeats, especially of “never dropped for that often” songs like those.
yes! i love collecting coupons! and tampons!
Here’s some questionable livephish releases for you-
9/14/00- Darien Lake- The jam out of Suzy Greenberg sums up this one. Talk about BORING.
12/29/94- This David Bowie- talk about a 40-minute DUMP
12/31/95- What’s so special about this show? Flubs galore, dull jams and the crowd has absolutely no energy.
Island Tour- Why do we need 4 shows? Lets just put all the neato tunes onto 2 discs like a live Dave Matthews Band release would. Who really wants to hear a 20 minute Roses are Free or a show opening with Mike’s Song.
7/15/98- This filler Bathtub Gin has to be the worst filler selection of all times
10/31/96- Talk about another show w/ no energy. If I wanted to hear Talking Heads I’d buy Talking Heads.
11/27/98- Wipeout? Gimme a break. You could tell the crowd didn’t like this show.
6/22/94- Any show with a Fluffhead makes me a sleepyhead. That just ruined the release.
11/17/97- I guess nobody ever told me the story of the Ghost b/c I just don’t get it. Some people actually think this is a great jam.
10/31/95- Since when did the Who have horns? The YEM’s another 40 minute dump too.
The worst part about these livephish releases is no Jennifer Dances. How can you NOT put Phish’s all-time greatest track on a livephish release? At least their 2nd best song “Spread it 'Round” made it to 7/15/03 release. But to not put Jennifer Dances in the Livephish 1-20 series is a travesty.
Flubs galore? Dull jams? No energy from the crowd on NYE?!?!
yeah…right. :
I just got the notion you’re probably jesting.
I’m an idiot.
Yeah, anyone disrespecting the ALMIGHTY 12/29/94 is pretty questionable in my book.
:o

I love that post, k-dub.
To go back a page… that japan twist is glistening with humperdinks… better than raging hippos at the pool, and by that I mean it weighs more than a 2 ton firecracker. I love it. What I dig about the jap release and ssp is the intimacy of the venue. They are almost stepping on each other’s balls and that closeness comes across in the music. ditto.

Good point. At one point during a break you can actually hear someone yell, clear as day, “GO FLYERS!”
kw87, that was one of the funniest posts I’ve read in a bit. Thanks for that…really. I didn’t really catch that you were joking until what you said about 12.31.95. You should have saved that for the end. Hilarious!

um, what about the FIRST post about the “Suzy”-jam being boring?!
The second I read that, I thought “that fucking joker…”
I just realized Billiam Breathes is goin’ to get pissed if we stray too far off topic…
cowers in fear
UMMM, yeah…that Jappy release sucks balls
