Quick/Easy/Healthy Recipes

I know I started a thread like this before. But the search don’t work and I can’t find it. So there!

We could all use this I think.

Recipes can be quick, easy, healthy or all 3!

I have one that I made up last night:

2 tbl spoons minced garlic
1/2 red onion chopped
parkay fake butter (3 tbl spoons)
1 pint chopped mushrooms
red wine
4 chicken breasts
Asparagus
Fresh Green Beans

Step 1
-Set oven to 350
-Take half of the chopped onions and mushrooms and spread in baking dish

Step 2
-Melt butter in pan over medium heat
-add garlic and onions
-Add green beans and asparagus
-simmer for 6-8 minutes
-add redwine to liking
-reduce to sauce thickness
-add chicken cooking 2 minutes on each side
-place chicken on onions and mushrooms in baking dish
-top with sauce
-cook at 350 for 20 minutes

enjoy

Wow, I was trying to think of something to cook for friends coming up tomorrow night, and now I think I have something! Thanks Brett!

Brah, its soooooo good. Go a little heave on the garlic, it helps i think.

Garlic is a must, no problem there.

I usually just eat an entire block of colby cheese.

make toast.

make baked beans.

fry eggs.

in bowl place toast…cover with beans…lay fried eggs on top.

enjoy.

follow up with jammy dodger and earl gray tea.

Not on this side of the pond thank you!

OMFG.

is that a real product?

yeah…it appears it is…and it “NEW” too!!

I’m sorry but anything that ends with the words “On a Stick” is an instant winner in my book.

boily, oily taint on a stick is OK in your book?

As long as it’s on a stick, yes. Obviously you don’t want to have to hold the taint…that’s what the stick is for. See?..this all makes sense if you think about it.

Stevo on a Stick <— See? Much better.

Umm, anyone have any recipes???

I need to make some fude this weekend and need some ideas.

I may have used this before but.

Ingredients (per person)

3 delicious sausages (I prefer cumberland, but whatever you like)
6 good sized mushrooms
half an onion
1 glove garlic
liberal splash of cheap white wine
big blob of cream
Pasta of choice (I personally like Fusilli or action man bowtie)

Chop and fry onion and garlic in oil.

Remove delicious sausages from skins and break up meat into chunks. Throw it in!

Get it really hot.

Add the wine - it should really fizz and burble in the hot pan.

Turn down heat a bit

Chop and add mushrooms.

Add salt & pepper (I like a lot of pepper!).

Just before serving, add the cream and stir it all in.

You should concurrently cook up the pasta.

Throw the lot together and you have a delicious, not unhealthy and very easy meal.

Non-breaded Chicken Parm:

Preheat to 500- degrees Brett, degrees
Chop up some rosemary, thyme, oregano (about 3 sprigs each)
Mix into a little e.v.o.o. (3 tblspoons?- I don’t measure, sorry)

Cut two chicken breasts in half (half as thick, similar to a filet I guess)
brush oil/herbs onto chicken

In a skillet (preferably one that can then go into oven- I don’t have one so I use a 13x9 Pyrex dish) with just a touch more e.v.o.o., cook chicken on each side, 3-4 mins should do it, should get a nice golden brown to it.

Cover chicken in preferred sauce, shred plenty of mozzerella right on it. Place in over for just a couple minutes (5-7), until cheese is nice and gooey. The chicken should be cooked because you made it nice and thin earlier, remember?

I usually toast some french bread in the oven when I put the chicken in.

Enjoy!

SWEET! Thanks guys!!!

meh

I’m going to Taco Bell

meh yourself

This is simple but I like it:

Take English muffins, put pizza sauce on it, put mozzarella cheese on, then put pepperoni’s or whatever else you want. Cook in the oven at 350 (preheated) for about 14 minutes. Bam, mini-pizzas!! Hurray!
