Yes, Bobby really revolutionized the sport and made it mainstream to kids worldwide. I can’t tell you the huge amount of kids who are playing chess these days as a result of Bobby’s monstrous influence. You can’t even pull teenagers away from the chessboard nowadays.

What did she do?
I knew a guy who worked with Bobby once in Atlantic City. Fischer wasn’t allowed in the casinos so he approached this co-worker of mine who was laid-off at the time to place bets at blackjack for him, and he would pay him ten percent.
Needless to say, they made out very good. Over several weeks, until Fischer had to choose another partner for safety reasons, my friend came away with about ten grand. They worked different tables at different casinos on different days not winning more than a grand so as not to raise suspicion.
