As good as that Maze was…

MAZE! This one was ripped apart…looooooved it.

Neither of these were the best versions of the year, but I went with Mikes since I was there and it was my first Mikes. I dont think this maze holds up against any of the fall tour versions where trey was shredding proper again.
Mike’s Song had some competition. I loved the Miami version but Knoxville and Red Rocks were also pretty high energy affairs.
that being said, Alpine Maze was one of the face-melting-est moments of the year.
I went with Mike’s Song…I’m actually surprised at the amount of love that this Maze is receiving. Not that it was bad or anything…I’m just not sure it stood out from the other Maze’s in 09.
Maze seems pretty easy for me…but this could be one of those where you just had to be there in person to feel it’s fury.
Mike’s has to get super funky to get my vote.
