Gorge Sally was HUGE…
Plenty of great YEMs this year…going with Sally thru the Alley
Both were HUGE…I’ll take a Sally any day of the week though.

Hmm…
Maybe because of its “novelty” factor.
Personally if I had a one-time choice I’d choose YEM. But if you get a “Sally,” you don’t necessarily know if/when you’ll see it again. You’ll get a YEM again, almost guaranteed.

My opinion of course.
One can certainly see where you are coming from with this. That being said, One tries to put away all preconceptions when thinking about these and simply anylize based on the sound.
For example, out of 11 shows attended in 2009, Hartford doesn’t even make top 5. Not because it wasn’t one for the books, not because the energy wasn’t magnificent, but because the playing does not stand up to some of the other shows. Not that One isn’t extremely grateful for seeing Forbins/Mockingbird, Psycho Killer, Catapault, Icculus, the antics, etc.
Different strokes and all that jazz. 
This Sally is awesome, by the way.
Sneaking Sally…simply because I was there…and Sneaking Sally brings the rage.
It’s take a lot to beat a top notch YEM, but this Sally does in my opinion.

This Sally needed trampolines. With that said, I voted for Sally.
The jam in sneakin’ was most definitely not a “novelty”. YEM is one of the most epic Phish moments in all of time, but there are plenty of other versions that blow this one away. The Sally could be considered the best version of that song. So that’s why I went with Sneakin’.
I’m a sucker for Sally and my buddy Ross still makes fun of me for freaking out so hard when they busted it out at the Gorge, but this YEM is some serious shit. I think it’s final four material for sure.
