Suzy with horns is the only kind of Suzy I like. Except for Suzy with Claypool. But no Suzy will ever beat a Sneakinā Sally for me.
Sally is great. The vocal jam was without precedent. Suzy was more epic . Sally was just the best 1 in 5 years. Suzy had some soul at 8. Usually sheās just antagonizing everybody. That was Suzyās night for sure. Sally is easier than Suzy to get in the sack but Suzy will put you in rehab if you are not careful. I bet you could get Suzy to wear a Spiderman costume, but not Sally. Sally is that girl from Quadrophenia. The one that shags the protaganist during the riots at Brighton Beach. Itās great until she gets off tour and gets back with her other guy. They are both amazing girls. For 1 crazy run Iād want Suzy. For 1 crazy hour Iād want Sally. I vote for Suzy Greenberg!
Once again, the vocal jam in Suzy was the āoriginalā way that Phish played it back in the 80ās. When they busted it out in 97 they left it out. Presumably to expand on the funk potential that song had.
EDIT: This sally was the poop though, one of my favorite jams of 09.

Gota go with sneaking sally simply because of thisā¦before sneaking sally was played at the Gorge every phish fan i know was sayin when are they going to bust out sneakin sally and i know i was checkin the setlists every night and started saying ohhh man i can not wait untill they bust out sneakin sally and when they finally did it just raged sooooo hard and it was such a good pay off ā¦i know the suzy was great also especially with the horns and reprise but i wasnt sayin all year man i cant wait for suzy to be bust out with some horns and reprised

The boyās went all out for that Fest 8 Party! They worked hard to incorporate those ladies voices into Suzy. The vocal jam in Suzy is bigger and rehearsed. I think in this instance it should get special considerstion over an āimpromptuā jam in Sally. They could do that again in there sleep. Conversely Sally was just Phish. Which should get itās own points. I think Phish would love to see Suzy advance in this one. They worked hard on it.
