Oooops…my bad, Marko. I though you were the one with the recent seed for IT.
You a have a a pretty fat list, then. Looks like mine…lots of variety. Lots of different music.

Its no agro if you follow the very simple rules. If sombody sends me crap, I let them know. they have a chance to correct the problem. If you know you are sending me crap, which if it is, you should know better.
The show you used as an example, is a perfect reason why many people look for source info. PLain and simple, if thats a crappy source, seek out a better.
As for only collecting boards, well I feel bad that you refuse to own a copy 11/2/98, or until recently, the island tour, or 12/30/97…I can go on and on.
There are plenty of excellent sounding AUDS out there, and some sound better than some shoddy soundboard mix (somtimes).
Its a fun easy hobby if you use proper ettiquette.
BTW, no offense to that other guy, but that list that sombody thought was mine…uh no. mine is about 10 x’s the size.
I still have A LOT of updating to do. I just recently switched to Etree, and i literally get dozens of disks each week, so Im a bit backed up with time/effort/filing.
Im proud of my music.
I would be…you have a lot of good shows. I have a LOT of shows from collecting over the last decade…I don;t have the time, patience, or energy to post it all and get with trading.
I do have some good Audience sourced shows, I just prefer soundboards. A lot of the ones I have from 10 years ago aren’t available anymore or are of poor lineage these days, so I understand your concern for quality. I keep these to myself, burn them for listening purposes, and have properly stored the originals.
You have a very fat list.
meant to add ‘amen to that’ and the end of that
Amen!
If that were the case, then none of post-hiatus would be tradeable because all of it was eventually released on the web.
No. If a show is officially released, you may still trade the AUDS.
Are you guys talking about trading cassettes? Man, I get my shit off the Internets.
Right now, Im looking for one hard drive with every phish show from 1994 to Conentry on it. Only soundboard/audience blends recorded by Paul Languedoc. No reduced bit depth or sample rates, please.
I’m also looking for lathe-cut wax cylinders of the Merry Pranksters at the first Acid Test.
what is that? it sounds interesting
I have some Prankster stuff…video, but it really is nearly unwatchable.

I think the band Reynols released something on wax cylinder a couple of years ago.
I guess they are from Brazil. The lead singer is autistic or has down syndrome or something. Go figure.

I’ve seen some video of the Acid Tests, that wasn’t that bad of quality but wasn’t very interesting and there was no footage of the actual Pranksters playing music.
From reading about that stuff it seems like they were recording stuff all the time. There must be 100’s of hours of footage. There’s got to be something interesting in there that should see the light of day.
On the film “Anthem to Beauty”, there are some very good shots of the Acid Tests… As a matter of fact there a lot of great shots of early Dead… That is probably my favorite (or atleastt top 3) music DVDs out there.
Theres a set of “acid test” disks that circulates pretty heavy. It contains a on of Prankster stuff.
I don’t have yet tho.
One of my favorite lines… “Hey man, you want some gasssss?” -Mickey Hart-
i kind of dig the fact that people are kind of nerdy about the source info/quality… i mean the fact that folks like mar mar over at etree spend hours cleaning up shows, creating matrixes and logging their info, just so they can give it all away, is bad ass.
and as far as mp3s go… i don’t think its a big deal… just make sure people know where they came from. man you hippies can get pretty worked up
