Todays the day, heading to Danbury hospital at 6 am to go under the knife. My next post will probably go in the drunk/stoned thread as I intend to use all the opiats I have at my disposal for the next few days. I really hope the hospital will provide me w/ wireless internet or I might go insane. Anyway If I don’t make it …nice knowing yall
So you did make it. Excellent. I saw your morphine-induced post in the Drunk/Stoned Thread. Is everything going OK now? How long will you be in the hospital? (Do you have a private room? How is the food? How is the staff? Does the bed go up? Does the bed go down?) What is the timeline for recovery? Modern medical technology is an amazing thing.
I cannot watch that video. That stuff gives me the heeby-jeebies. Amazing, but heeby-jeebified.
All has gone well I used a walker on day crutches the first half of day two and have been on a cane ever since, the pain is suprisingly not bad compared to the way I was pre op. The first day I stilll had a port in my arm and my nurse would come in every 2 hours w/ 6 milagrams of morphine straight to thae head and a couple of percs, since yesterday after noon they backed me down to 2 percs every 2 hours (still doin the trick), The down fall of all of these opiods as you can imagine is I am hh hh hh hh a little backed up so I might need a little proceedure later to get things moving along properly. Should be back to work in three weeks or so and If all goes well back on my sticks for som slushy spring turns, I must say Med Technology is TEH_SWEET
and yes my bed goes up and down and I have had 2 (out of probably 6) nurses that were spicy and touched me Palm n coconuts for a little wash up, after a long summer of work this has almost qualified as a getaway, Danbury hospital is 2 hrs from home and I insisted no one come visit me so in a way Im off in my own little world for the first time in a while…Oh yeah free wirless highspeed internet at the hospital was a saviour, I have not been on the internet this much in a 36 hour period ever
100 courics will fall tonight, I’v had 2 milk of mag doses and 12 oz of warm prune juice and no luck… My nurse has decided its Suppository time

I had right total hip replacement on monday and after the nurse jams this little white sausage up my ass I will be taking the dump I havnt taken since sunday afternoon
