Reba

Just wondering what you guys considered as your favorite Reba’s

97.11.17 - funky and a great chill, but I feel Fish cuts it off too early

93.2.20 - Very crazy and Powerful

93.8.7 - Great Progressive grooving

96.8.17 - One giant CHILL!

Which one do you guys like

^
great list

I’ve especially liked the 'ween '94 version. Early in the “chill” section Mike is especially prominent, hinting at some early Phish funk! Anybody who hasn’t heard it, try and find it and listen to it!!

8-17-96!
But I like everything from 96.

95 Lincoln Nebraska!

Any '95 Reba! The jam’s MAY not always be the most exploratory, but they are always the most tightly performed versions.

8-26-93 Portland…fvcking awesome REBA!

And the love for Aug '93 comes out once again. I am onto you Vern!

^^^ how can you not LOVE august 93? you’d have to be as mad as a hatter to not.

^ Oh, it is probably my favorite Month of Phish… I am also noticing it with Vern… Thats why I pointed it out.

The only Reba that I was actually present for was Coventry. Reba was the song that got me into Phish so it was an exciting moment for me. That certainly wasn’t the best Reba I’ve ever heard on recording but it’s the only one I saw. As for jams, as long as Trey nails the part right after the buildup, I’m satisfied.

I have to say, I dig the IT Reba. There’s a few snippets from it that are utterly beautiful. But I guess that’s true of any Reba, no?

The Oswego Reba from 7.18.99 = good stuff

11/7/98 UIC Pavillion.

Great second set w/ a 31 minute ACDC Bag opener…

Were at this show bigb? It is probably my favorite show I didn’t see…

^^I was at all 3 nights at UIC in 98 and they were phenominal! 2nd nite was my favorite with probably the best Taste of 98 and of course Ride Captain Ride!

4.4.94 was dope…i thought.

Most 94 REBAs are pretty dope!

10/31/96.

Any Reba where they just end it before the god-awful out-of-tune whistling section gets high marks in my book.

^
yes, but there is something about bringing it back around to the whistling that sort of “closes” the song
