I’m just getting into using etree and the amount of phish shows is overwhelming. Could I get some recommendations?

I would start at the most recent page and work your way back… Because I am willing to bet most of the older ones have lost their seeds.

if you keep up on things, you can pretty much get every phish show posted. Sometimes it gets crazy, but its definitely possible.
