I was hoping to go tonight, but the lady works 'til 10, so I might hit up a matinee tomorrow.
I went yesterday. It is so fucking funny. This movie is a comedy first and foremost and that’s what it delivers. Straight up laughs start to finish. I thought it would be a whole lot more serious in nature, but they are just making fun of religion the way that Taladega Nights makes fun of Nascar or American Pie makes fun of teenage sex. It’s just there’s never been a comedy really (other than Dogma, which really wasn’t very funny) that was based on Religion and they pull it off brilliantly. I can see how it might be offensive as those other movies I mentioned above might be as well, but the theatre was comprised of geriatrics and college students mostly and both got just as many laughs at various points in the movie. I’m giving it 5 jesus fish out of 5.

LOL. I’ve been making fun of my Mom a lot about this very thing since she’s a big Dubya supporter and a staunch Republican. I keep asking her how she likes her boy Dubya now being a Democrat since this whole bailout thing is a totally liberal concept. As always, she blames the Liberal Congress for the whole thing. I love it.
