That’s the current rumor floating around other boards…
Talks of no SPAC this summer…maybe Bethel?..maybe Watkins? Who knows, seems to be getting a little late for the planning and announcement of a festival though.
I guess this would back up the talks of no Northerly Island this yr. Possible one night at Wrigley or a night at Alpine with a night or two return to Deer Creek?(yr of superball they tried to book Wrigley, ended up with the small UIC pav run.)
I would also guess only 1 night of Randalls??

Mpp
Portsmouth
Hartford
Alpahretta
Raleigh or Charlotte
Gorge/ Tahoe- seems to be a every other yr thing.
Would Dick’s be off the map with the Glen being after the 9th of August???
That’s what everyone is saying. Considering the fact that Trey said it was going to be a “quieter” year than normal; maybe they will focus all their energy on a big festival and go for a bigger draw with the prospect of fewer dates.
A fest on the East coast makes a lot of sense this summer. Halloween and NYE were both West coast and the East coast fans are fiending. Skip SPAC, Darian Lake, Canandaigua, JB (Bethal is not happening) and you have a big draw for the fest. Randalls will be 3 days again.
Is Randall’s an automatic lock every year now, after just that one run? I’m not disputing if they’ll play there since I have no knowledge otherwise. Wouldn’t a 3 night weekend run in NYC potentially draw away from people who may attend a fest at Watkins?
NYE was west coast? The residents of Florida may disagree with that statement.
People are thinking this show might be part of Clapton’s Crossroads Festival…Clapton has said he is done with extensive touring after this year (he is now 70). This might make sense seeing people didn’t think the Dead could fill Soldier Field by themselves.
Wondering how the Summer tour and announcement will pan out. They obviously won’t announce tour before the Fest. Will they announce Fest first then tour or both at the same time?? Guesing it will be first week of March… Also are we gonna get one leg or two.
Yea. I think that was one of the factors in lower attendance. With not knowing if a fest was gonna. Happen or not people. Were spending their money on shows they would of skipped had they.known a fest was going down. Don’t think they would do that again. Obviously oversaturation of the NE and being a holiday weekend also
We all knew about SB way in advance…the low numbers were because it was a holiday weekend and they were competing against other fests and family time. They also played a lot in the NE that summer. Phish is not the draw it was back in 2000 and before.
